If someone lived their life and adhered to all of God's rules, except they didn't believe in God (i.e. they only commited this one sin), they would go to Hell right?

Do you go straight to Heaven/Hell or is there a middle ground where you get judged?

Now i don't understand this what I mention above but I will explain for both possible outcomes...

(1) If this person goes straight to Hell (for commiting the sin of not believing in God) they will then think "Hey, it must be true about God because im in Hell". They now have NO sin because they believe in God therefore they are in Hell with no sin. Is this correct?

(2) If there is somewhere first before Hell where they get judged, they will think "Hey it must be true about God, I've been wrong all along", so then they would have NO sin, because they now believe in God...so they go to Heaven? If this scenario is true, then could a frequent sinner repent at this late stage and still get into Heaven?

Im confused

I wonder how well some of us would fare if we tried to communicate in some of our friends' native tongues? I often see unkind comments like 'learn to speak English then try again'. in answer to some questions.

In what may be its most audacious Olympic act yet, China's Ministry of Public Security has issued an incredible directive that lists 43 categories of unwanteds who are to be investigated and barred from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Pariah groups include eerily vague "key individuals in ideological fields," "overseas hostile forces," "counter-revolutionary" figures, the Dalai Lama and all affiliates, members of "religious entities not sanctioned by the state" (e.g. Roman Catholics), "individuals who instigate discontentment toward the Chinese Communist Party through the Internet," and even certain types of "handicapped" persons.
Members of the Falun Gong would be barred, as would "family members of deceased persons" killed in "riots" -- a euphemism for events such as the Tiananmen Massacre -- and Uighur Muslims in Xinjiang province, which the regime brands "national separatists."

I asked about Big-God yesterday, and was accused of basphemy for even mentioning that name. Oh well.

Creationists say that the universe is so complex, it has to be created. That implies that God is more complex than the universe and had to be created, thus God was created by Big-God.

Big-God is more complex than God, thus Big-God was created by UltraBig-God.

For arguments sake, let's stop here.

If UltraBig-God is obviously UltraOmnipotent, why didn't He create the Universe himself? "God spoke the Universe into existence", so it must have been quite easy. So laziness is not the reason.

So, why would UltraBig-God create Big-God, to make sure Big-God would create God, so that God could create the Universe?

("God was always there" is really not an answer, unless you're willing to admit, as I am, that you just don't know how Existence started)

The koran says Allah wanted Abraham to sacrifice his son ishmael on the alter of wood

The bible says god wanted Abraham to sacrifice issac

now what am i supposed to believe? since the bible predates the koran by centuries i believe the bible account to be true, because i have no doubt that islamic writers copied that story from the bible , changed the sacrifice to ishmael and wrote it.

How ever the question that i ask is this.

what sort of an Allah/God would tell parents to sacrifice their children?
even though the boys life was spared the thought of human or even animal sacrifice makes me angry

what sort of allah's and god's are these?

having read answers on here, Christians seem to justify fatal disease and natural disasters as God's way of keeping the population under control. Obviously God is looking out for us then...

So what is the global population now then, about 6 billion? And the Asia tsunami was God helping us lower the population by a number of thousand because it was a few thousand too many?

So why were there killer diseases and natural disasters when the global population was nowhere near 6 billion?

Like the great plague in the 1600's - did God think the population was too high then when it was a LOT smaller than it is now?

It just doesnt seem to add up

Many people learned in elementary school that a theory falls in the middle of a hierarchy of certainty--above a mere hypothesis but below a law. Scientists do not use the terms that way, however. According to the National Academy of Sciences (NAS), a scientific theory is "a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that can incorporate facts, laws, inferences, and tested hypotheses." No amount of validation changes a theory into a law, which is a descriptive generalization about nature. So when scientists talk about the theory of evolution--or the atomic theory or the theory of relativity, for that matter--they are not expressing reservations about its truth.
In addition to the theory of evolution, meaning the idea of descent with modification, one may also speak of the fact of evolution. The NAS defines a fact as "an observation that has been repeatedly confirmed and for all practical purposes is accepted as 'true.'"
