My coworker can't get insurance because he smokes and because years ago he had cancer in mouth. Now he has lung cancer, completely unrelated to his first bout with cancer, but related to his smoking. Despite the fact that he only has one lung he continues to smoke. Our management wants the employees to contribute time/money to a fundraiser to earn money for a surgery he needs on his remaining lung. I'm conflicted. I don't want to judge the guy, expecially because he has faced cancer twice, but it seems like a waste of time/money considering he won't stop smoking to save his own life. Is it horrible of me to not want to donate money (being a student working her way through college)? I'd still be willing to donate my time.

My Christian friend is always preoccupied with gays.
He criticizes them all the time.
He talks about gays 24/7. He's obviously unaware that he does.I'm starting to think he's a closet gay right?

I see there are more hate crimes commited against whites than any other race. Also there are so many racist shows and a couple of completely anti-white networks. What is going on here?

I am getting that impression by reading many of the questions and answers in this section. I find we have an expectation that they should treat us well and generally not be disrespectful. Are we bogging them down ( specially our offsprings and grandchildren) by the weight of our expectations?

I have questioned myself and religion very deeply over the last few years of my life. I have found absurdities in the Christian religion, but yet the feeling of intense confusion accepting the unknown. I wonder if as humans we are meant to "worship" to ease our minds? Or are we supposed to embrace the confusion? I just don't know if I should keep on going living in this confusion which is very lonesome. I am a truthseeker and I guess it's true that without pain there is no gain.

i have a friend who is slowly going insane because of all the bad things happening and its not small stuff, hes all the time seeing satanic symbols, and things of that nature, i just want to take that away from him, i'd rather myself go through it. he also has no faith really so he can't just bless his house or something like that.

Its a book. Please share with me any experiences you had.

My experience:
One of my friends in Highschool had the book. He showed it to us and we decided to make one of the patterns in the book and repeat the chant that went along with it. I only remember the chant had something to do with the subject "green". A short while later I had to go pick up my girlfriend from work. On this drive through town there were 15 stoplights, we hit every light green, on the way there and the way back. I wasn't one to believe in stuff like that, but it really made me wonder about this book, among other things. Thanks.

Fabled monster recently caught on a new video.
An amateur scientist has captured new video footage of the Loch Ness Monster.
"...about 45-feet (15 meters) long, moving fairly fast in the water."
The Scottish media is skeptical of Nessie stories but this footage is of such good quality that even the normally reticent BBC Scotland aired the video on its main news program on Tuesday.

yeah i said it! i get so sick of atheist bashing christians, what are you so scared of???Is it that you want to live your life how you want to live it, in sin and you dont want to face the consequences of what is going to happen to you(hell) for not being saved and beleiving in god ?so you just dont beleive in god so that you dont have to think about it? Im not trying to judge anyone because i dont think Im perfect but i just dont understand how you can deny a god who has given us everything and done so much for us!!!!
