Defination of Reasonable Answer
I asked the question , why are there no historical record of Jesus's existence.
One of the non-believer answered that
There are possibility that Roman destroyed all the records about Jesus to protect their interests.
It's really reasoning...
rather then , have Faith in Jesus, he will save you.

I am aware of Josephus's document. However there is the reason to believe that Josephus is not the eyewithness to Jesus. I am sad to say that therefore, it just as hearsay.

As several people noted, there are multiple accounts of Jesus, although no official Roman records extant. A main problem is that many accounts of him were not written while he was alive - even Josephus was born after Jesus' death (Josephus was born in 37, Jesus died somewhere between 29 and 36 AD).
The gospels were written down years after Jesus died (20-80 years), and often copy from each other (especially from Mark, which was the first one completed). This isn't to say they're inaccurate, but it's not surprising that the Gospels mention the same events if they're copied word for word.
However, this cannot be used to prove or disprove Jesus. To understand why there are no records, you need to understand a few things:
* Two of the most likely places to store records of the time would be Rome and the Great Library of Alexandra. The Great Library was destroyed, and Rome was sacked many times.
* Records would have been written down on papyrus scrolls, which deteriorate over time, and must be recopied to preserve them.
* As time went on, Europe switched to usually using parchment to store records, however, there was a general shortage of usable parchment. If you needed a parchment for something, you reused an existing one - by scraping away the original work that was on the parchment.
Jesus isn't the only figure of the time that we're missing a great deal of information about - even great works of the Romans that would have been relatively widely available at the time have been lost.
Even if historical records did exist, any miracle described would be suspect - it was common for the period (and many many years afterwards) to provide supernatural explanation for unexplained phenomena. Canonical records aren't always any more help - Rome has several times found out belatedly that a beloved saint may have never actually existed (especially since there was no process to determine saints in the early Church). Whoops.
By definition, the acts of Jesus defy logic - that's why they're called miracles. But religion isn't about logic - it never has been. It's about faith - but the good news is that faith and logic can coexist, and it's possible to be skeptical about the Bible and still be a Christian.

I will answer any questions you wish. I do not have all the answers and rarely quote the bible. I do believe in it, I also believe it is not a complete record. I also think a lot of historical references are not necessarily accurate.....just look at our political records. It had to be easier to remove things in the past when different religious and government leaders decided they needed to be suppressed.
As for your question: There are a lot of historical references to Christ that were made during his time. He wasn't considered a great person by most of the world. The only place you will find reference is in the relatively small areas of the middle east that he traveled. Usually by foot or boat. His sentence and Crucifixion were recorded. You might want to have a look through a magazine called "Biblical Archeology". Its unbiased and a very interesting read. You may also want to look into any nostic texts you can come. Recently National Geographic wrote a book on the discovery and restoration of the Gospel of Judas........its a great book just to see what this priceless artifact went through.
The problem you are having is that most people don't want you to ask questions and investigate on your own. I would suggest just starting at the beginning of the new testament and reading.....just read for the sake of reading. Read it as a history book, its a hell of a story. After you're done with that move on to Genesis. Make all the notes you want. Then if you want know more or look up things. Get a Strongs Concordance.......but first, just read...don't worry about what it means or if there is conflict etc. Just read it. What you are intended to understand you will understand, what you do not understand you aren't ready to understand. Its very possible none of it will make sense to you. If that happens, who cares, go back to asking questions of people who will answer them to the best of their knowledge. I promise to never tell you to have faith.....then only faith you need is that when its your time for that veil to be lifted it will be lifted. Right now you are inquiring, I think God likes that. He doesn't want us ignorant.

Pi defies logic as does Log e, they are thus called irrationals and we accept them, despite their illogical existance.
This opens to door to accepting other irrationals as existing in reality.
To dismiss the Tachyon as being impossible is totally contrary to logic and science. A Tachyon, while being more than likely improbable, is certainly possible.
Hence, while we can dismiss things as potentially being improbable, we can never totally dismiss that those same things are not or never will be or are possible.
Such finites are not known to exist.
There are no finite LAWS to the universe only transient rules of a relatavistic nature.
It is, as proven over and over by science, impossible to say with all certainity "something" is impossible.
Therefore everything and anything is entirely possible, but not necessarily probable.
Now, you then have to decide if your mind is OPEN to the possiblities or CLOSED because of the improbability.
Science is SUPPOSED to keep an open mind. THAT is what is supposed to separate SCIENCE from mysticism.

There are many historical records about Christ. To quote from Jesus the Christ by James E. Talmage: (I should mention that this book was originally published in September of 1915.)
"It is a matter of history that, at or near the beginning of what has since come to be known as the Christian era, the man Jesus, surnamed Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judea. The principle data as to his birth, life, and death are so well attested as to be reasonably indisputable; they are facts of record, and are accepted as essentially authentic by the civilized world at large. True, there are diversities of deduction based on alleged discrepancies in the records of the pastas to circumstantial details; but such differences are of strictly minor importance, for none of them nor all of them taken together cast a shadow of rational doubt upon the Man known in literature as Jesus of Nazareth.”
While I am not personally aware of much in the way of historical records aside from the history text books that I used in High School I know from various sources similar to the one cited above that there is ample evidence out there to prove that Jesus was a real person. I also refer you to the recent program that detailed someone’s claim to have found Christ's family tomb. If one cared to look they could find ample evidence to attest to the reality of Jesus Christ’s life, now whether you believe his teachings and accept his claims of divine son-ship is another story.

There may be records but if you read the Book Of Urantia which is channeled from Angels say that Jesus was directed not to have anything he left in writing or physical , like children.
There are writers of the first century who wrote of Jesus. Josephus is one of them. Many Gnostic writing contain a lot about Jesus. In 325 AD, Constantine the emperor paid to have the first Scriptures compiled into a bible. What his scholars and he did not agree on got burned or hidden away in the Vatican vaults.

there's actually more historical evidence to support Jesus' life than there is Julius Caesar. Read the book the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. That's exactly what the whole book is about. And he comes from a non-believer's point of view because that's what he was when he started doing the research. E-mail me if you like I will try and answer any questions you have. Also the book Don't check Your Brains at the Door, by Josh McDowell is a great book, he was an unbeliever too, looking for facts. Just be open-minded to what you find....

By your discredit to the writings on Josephus on Christ, then we should throw away anything that is in any textbook we have that was written about Abraham Lincoln, because after all it cold just be hearsay. Heck, how about any book about someone who is dead.
You choose not to accept it for what reason?
*edit again*
Well documented? You mean, kind of like the Gospels? You only assume that they are not well documented, because it fits your thoughts. You offer no proof that it was not well documented. Thus, the burden of proof relies on you to present the Gospels as not well documented. Until then, you have NO RIGHT to claim that they are not.
I gave you my email if you'd like to carry this there. I'm a very nice guy who loves a good debate. :)

Hi,
I am not an historian, but I believe an ancient Jewish historian by the name of Josephus did record a report of Jesus that is completely seperate from the Bible. As I recall, it even includes a brief description of him.
