To love Jesus Christ means living right with God. You try to be a good person and try to have a peaceful heart about things and love others as you would like others to love you.

It means to do what Jesus instructed his followers to do as set forth in the scriptures. It means to endure persecution from others who will not accept His word. It means to tell others about what Jesus did while he was on earth-He told everyone about God's kingdom. It means to tell others the truth about what is going on in the world despite the people not wanting to hear the truth.

It means pleasing Him is never far from my thoughts. It means having the best friend I could ever have. It means I have companionship and someone to communicate with anytime of the day or night. It means having someone to call on when a gun is at my head. It means there is someone there at the end to meet me when I close my eyes in death. It means joy and peace. It means provisions when I can not provide for myself. It means propitiation for my sins. It means having a mediator when I need one. It means trust, both ways. It means a sure foundation to stand on. It means respect for others and the respect of others. It means having the word down in my heart that comes to mind when I need it. It means so much more than I can even describe in English.
Now, the flip side is, it means He loves me. So much, that He layed down His life for me. Now that is love.

To love Him with all my heart, soul, mind and strength- To abide in Him, seek Him in word and prayer and fellowship- To lean on His understanding, and listen to His Holy Spirit teach me.
To have Him shine through Me, and live in me. To follow HIM!
I love the Lord more than anything- and I only want to do His will, and follow Him.
To know His truth- to have spiritual discernment and be a light to others. And most importantly to gain HIS wisdom!

Just like any other god. You choose your religion and practice your beliefs. No need to force it down someone else's truth. That's what it means to love Jesus.

To eagerly spend time with Him every day. To look forward to church and prayer meetings because I can spend time just with Him.
To eagerly search out His word for more about Him, even thought I have read it over many times in 31 years.

Jesus said, "If you love Me, obey My Word"
John 14:15
*By the GRACE of GOD - in the strength of His Holy Spirit alone do I obey what He commands me to do in His Holy Word.
While meditating {deeply thinking on, studying) Jn. 14:15 and other important related verses - I came to the realization that Jesus is my LORD to the degree in which I daily yield to His Lordship within His Word/Bible. When I had served 20 yrs. in the Navy - I chose to obey my commanding officer - in fact I had to. What more the LORD Jesus Christ. My life is no longer my own - it was bought with a very expensive price - the Blood of Jesus. Am saved by GRACE alone through faith in Christ Jesus !
The least that I can do is By God's Grace -
[by The Holy Spirit] is to obey The Word of God out of love for HIM.
It is quite often not easy - for I have discovered that the world[including my own family - parents, brothers, and sisters] do not accept the Way of Jesus Christ. But did not Jesus say that we are to take up our cross and follow Him. While we are humans, still living in these fleshly bodies - we will sin at times - and we are to immediately after sinning, repent - confess our sin - trusting Jesus Christ to forgive us.
Suppose the main difference now - as I have by the Grace of God - matured in my Walk with the LORD - is that I choose not to sin willfully. Am not saying I do not ever sin - I do! **And that is where 1 Jn. 1:7 - 9 comes into play. God watches over His Holy Word to perform it - He is always faithful to keep His Word to us.
I am never qualified to point out a critical or judgmental finger at other believers {Matthew 7:1-4), but simply should daily judge myself with the Word of God.
God uses His Word daily to correct me, and to discipline me{& this discipline is harsh) but through it - HE draws me closer to Himself. For it is God that is works in all of us - both to will and to do His great pleasure{His will)! *Wish only to finish the race - and have Jesus Christ say "By the Grace of God - well done My Good and Faithful Servant." Am no one special, have no talents or unique abilities !! Am happy God set me apart unto Himself - to Sanctify me with His Word {Jn. 17:17)and am happy that He asks me to share the Gospel with everyone I encounter in Life, even on the internet.
*"The only thing worth boasting about in life is Jesus Christ - the LORD, His death and His glorious Resurrection !"*
And that is the main thing that separates Christianity from all other religions and philosophies - is that we serve a Savior and LORD who is ALIVE - for by the Holy Spirit,
Jesus was risen from the dead.
"Jesus Christ 'is' LORD !"
Thank You for your question. Have a wonderful week and coming weekend.

As a Muslim I love and respect Jesus Christ (PBUH) as a prophet and messenger of God. Islam teaches us to love and respect all of God's prophets and messengers. If one does not then they are not a true Muslim.
