That was the backup plan. Originally, he sent a talking donkey and Moses sacrificed him to rid the world of fleas.

He would have Smote Moses if he's failed to take heed of the Burning Bush. I think, in that case, his backup plan was a guy named Vinnie.

I think a bush that's on fire without being consumed AND talks is a pretty good plan A...almost too good. In fact, it sounds a lot like really old prose. Perhaps a metaphor...
Now if they could've just had Deniro playing Moses...hmm...

I really don't think he had a backup plan ... It was his ultimate plan a plan that was destined so It was and had to be fulfilled ... But hey If anyone else has a prediction of his backup plan I would " LOVE" to hear It . =)

God doesn't need a backup plan. and it wasn't the bush that was talking to him....it was God himself...his spirit.

God foreknew, so he knew Moses would believe. Remember, God is in control. Yes, He allows free will, but He also knows the path that we will choose.

sending an angel down to earth to pinch him and tell him it's not a dream.
dreaming is the only logical explanation in such a situation.
