I'm Jewish and I really don't get why Christians say we go to hell. We believe in the same G-d and can be good people.

Most of the time I show catholics the actual truth of Jesus Christ in scripture they tend to get really mad- and why?
Is it the same anger that catholics murder people for actually believing in the scriptures?
Is it the same anger that made a pope dig up a former pope's body and put the body on trial?
Is it the same anger that made catholics murder those that wanted to pray to God instead of dead people?
Is it the same confusion that made over 5 million catholics sign a petition to make Mary a co-redemtrix?
Is it the same deviance that encourages grown men to touch little boys?

Or is it just a simple manifestation of in-security in the faith?

so i was watching jesus camp the other night. and i'm watching the seen after the fat lady made all the kids cry for being one way when they're at church and being normal when they leave. then this one kid gets up on stage and starts talking about his experience with christianity and how sometimes he feels like a fake because, and i'm paraphrasing here, he doesn't really know if god exists because he can't really see him. and that seen made me wonder. how much do you think it takes of scaring people with hellfire and eternal damnation before they're actually convinced they've "seen" god? think about it. this is a kid, no older than maybe seven years old, and a lot closer to god, if one does exist, than any of us. he's still living with his parents and therefore very much under their control, yet he's man enough to admit that he doesn't know if god exists. so why do so many here pretend like they "know" he exists? you know you're not fooling anyone, don't you?

Basically, I mean like, if you were to graffiti public property, some say is freedom of expression while others find it ugly as vandalism. It's the same case with spam / ads. Are there reasons on some bad points on freedom of expression - and more examples? (Just an essay I have to write.)

I dont think so bec. when people suffer either get angry or hate God(even people who believe God) And a kind of resignation comes on them. Moreover when people who see the not-so-good types leading a better lives . A kind of resentment builds inside. U might say that u shouldnt feel in such a way. But we are human beings we are fragile and vulnerable. Its not fair. It might be a sort of testing ground for God but its life for us. The time once gone is gone for ever.

Our mouths are designed to take in nourishment for our bodies and build people up with our words as well as sing the praises of God Almighty. Far to often our mouths are used to cuss people out, cut them down, tell dirty jokes, talk in inapropriate language, gossip, curse God, take in things that were never ment to be consumed by humans, and so much more.
Are you watching what goes in and out of your mouth? After all the mouth is the doorway to the rest of the body and if you put trash in your body will soon follow. What comes out is a direct reflection of the condition of your heart.

i am from switzerland and i speak fluent german, french, italian, spanish and english, why people in america are only taught to speak one language, i lived in 7 different countries, kids here speak at least 2 different languages by age 3

you people are so selfish and try to segregate yourselves from the rest of the world! when you should learn how to communicate with people from different countries.

and i know your ancestor came from europe but they were stupid enough not to teach you their native language. you could have all at least learned the language the aboriginal in america spoke. instead your ancestors conquered them and forced them to learn english and kipnap their kids to put them in christian schools and forbid them from speaking their native language what ashame and latino is not a race, people in spain are white not hispanic, dont consider me a different race because i speak french, spanish is a simple language not a race, there is only three races,

A decent Question earlier about the Flood story and Noah's Ark. The obvious holes in the story were being discussed by the logic-minded. The generic "god did it, so don't question it" replies came from the usuals in the fiction arena.

And then, I had to stop and laugh.

One guy, with the usual "it's god's word" rant going on -- not ever realizing or considering that there is NO PROOF that the bible or any other cult book or manual is actually the word of any god at all -- continues with the usual "god can handle anything, why question his word" etc etc. and then, topped it off with:

"I think you're wrapped up in science too much."

I actually laughed out loud.

A sort of "reprimand" to someone for thinking, for examining and investigating, for approaching things logically and reasonably, for being intelligent...

..."I think you're wrapped up in science too much."

Really -- does that make you laugh out loud, or what??
