why do we celebrate anniversaries

the 25th is the "silver" wedding anniversary. anniversaries are just milestones in our lives that are a time to reflect on where we've been and how far we've come. it's a day set aside to show someone how much we appreciate them or to remember times past(good or bad). My husband and I don't ever buy anything for each other on our wedding anniversary, but we always make sure we are together.

Anniversary's mark a significant in our lives the same as our birthdays do. As a persons marriage is usually the biggest event in their lives, it is fitting to mark the day as a day of remembrance.

Ronita,
Come on, why do we celebrate anything? Love of the person or event is why.
