having read answers on here, Christians seem to justify fatal disease and natural disasters as God's way of keeping the population under control. Obviously God is looking out for us then...
So what is the global population now then, about 6 billion? And the Asia tsunami was God helping us lower the population by a number of thousand because it was a few thousand too many?
So why were there killer diseases and natural disasters when the global population was nowhere near 6 billion?
Like the great plague in the 1600's - did God think the population was too high then when it was a LOT smaller than it is now?
It just doesnt seem to add up

And on a side note....
Why don't all Christians refuse vaccinations from disease? Surely if your God created these diseases for a purpose, you are going against his will by being vaccinated

Edward T - the point I am making is that surely there was no need to wipe out the population with disease and disaster say 2000 years ago because it was minimal. Yet disease still occured.

DaVinchi22 - I'd love for you to explain how "man's evil" cause floods (yes floods! like the one GOD created). You may say it was man's fault, but GOD created it, its in the Bible

Jesus M - "There is nothing stated or written on the bible that God created disease. You are wrong in your comments about God."
Actually, you are wrong in your comments about me. If you read the first paragraph you will see that I say 'Christians seem to justify', not me. So this means that a lot of Christians don't even understand their own religion.
And in fact, the Bible says that God created the Earth, disease and natural disasters are part of the Earth. They are NOT mans influence. A disease is a living creature just like a human, dog, cat, lion, plant etc...so God must have created them, or are you suggesting that dogs are an effect of mans sin too?

Diseases could not be created but a mankind can be inflicted of such desease it is the life of mankind to suffer everything and harship while lving and it depends upon the person himself to avoid such desease. as God said , be careful of yourself so I may save you.

I read somewhere that natural disasters are created from all the negative energy that people have created in this world, negative thoughts and negative emotions which creates negativity in nature which causes nature to create disasters to expel the negative energy.
p.s
the oceans may have been a big flood, or it may be a metaphor or symbol to the stories in the bible I think quite a lot of stories in there are more symbolic to get the point of the lessons accross than actual events, there would have had to be water before the flood i should imagine.
:O)
By the way David M you just got 2 points for copying and pasting my answer!! and saying I was stupid Cheaky David M.

I study someplace that organic mess ups are made out of each and all the detrimental ability that folk have created in this international, detrimental strategies and detrimental thoughts which creates negativity in nature which motives nature to create mess ups to expel the detrimental ability. p.s the oceans would have been a brilliant flood, or it ought to be a metaphor or image to the memories interior the bible i think of truly an incredible sort of information in there are greater symbolic to get the component to the classes accross than truly activities, there could have had to be water before the flood i'd desire to think of. :O) by utilising the way David M you basically have been given 2 factors for copying and pasting my answer!! and asserting i replaced into stupid Cheaky David M.

Oh dear, what a mix-up! You pose unanswerable questions. We cannot know the mind of God and His purposes. However, a study of the New Testament does provide some insight. It is an undeniable fact, however, that mankind brings on itself many of its problems , and appealing to God can help us. He's a very forgiving God. King David, for example, in Psalm 51, wrote, "A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise".

Really, these Religious questions should not be ask on-line.. Besides creating a large confusion it does not get to anywhere. This is a unknown question which leads to an unknown answer. Seek the best and do for the better. As Walt Disney said "The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing."
p.s
The world population is not in billions it's in trillions. Thanks. Peace.

You have a misconstrued concept of God and how he works in our lives.
God did not create a perfect world. In fact, God could have created a better world (St. Thomas Aquinas). God created this world "in a state of journeying." The more perfect exists alongside the less perfect. Nature has both constructive and destructive forces. Physical good will always be mixed with physical evil until creation reaches perfection.
Peace and blessings!

Simply answer really, God did not create disease and natural disasters, we have no control over these type of disasters, but we do have control over war and famine, stop looking to God as the culprit, we create all this ourselves.

hey, give a guy a break, he can't help it if one of the many diseases / natural disasters is more effective then others.
Lets be honest, it couldbe the mood he was in also. Maybe he was on his game when he created the plague but was hungover for the Tsunami.

Life is continuous birth after birth. Laws of nature r absolutely fine. Not every one fructify the fruits of his deeds and misdeeds within the same one life span. Many fruits fructify in future lives. That is how laws of nature work.
When we see a anyone in pain in this life, generally its the outcome of previous misdeeds.
Since life is same in everyone, its wise to be compassionate towards that person and help him get over his misery. It helps the person determine his own future life/lives in long run.
This is the reason most of the spiritual masters preach love and compassion towards every one.

The view that you have received is not biblical.
Read the bible to find out instead of asking people.
Go to the source.
Because there are people who think they are Christians and are not, there are people who profess to be Christians and are not, they purposely decieve, and then there are boni fide Christians who have not yet discovered the answer to your question and give it a shot anyway, but get it wrong.
And then there are informed Christians who know their Bible.
