Honestly, I work overnight and my work only takes about 2 hours, the other six im just sitting here reading. I really dont have much better to do while at work. Which is why I decided to start taking some online courses among other things. I would never do this on my day off or while I was at home. To much other great stuff to do.
By the way... Why ask?

I didnt know what Yahoo Answers was all about when I first started coming here. Then I started answering select questions in areas that I feel qualified to answer. The first time I got a response telling me I had helped someone,it made me feel good. I was a nurse for 30 years and then had a brain anuerism which ended my career. I still like to help people and this lets me do that. No harm no foul.

Gives you an opportunity to think and develop some knowledge on the topic of the question rather then being a box head in the corner.

To assist a person posing a question for whatever purpose. One may ask for alternative solutions or resolution. Another may want to gain knowledge. But most of all it may be to satisfy ones curiosity.
Additional Details:
I agree 100% .....in order for this world to be in a better state we need to have strong leadership. Leaders who lead by example. Leaders who are unafraid to make the hard desicions that sometimes must be made for the better of mankind.

We come into the world curious. At some point we start thinking it's not cool to ask questions. This forum makes it interesting to find out who has found the answers to questions we may have been afraid to ask.

Often I answer because, after reading the question, I know I have a good answer based on my varied background and many years, that may help them. Another reason is ... I can't stand sanctimonious, smug smartasses who think they know it all and feel superior to others. I like to take them down a peg.
Stay cool, okay?

To bash back. Seriously, I think we are helping people when we answer questions. Even if they don't agree with us.
Peace and blessings!
