If someone lived their life and adhered to all of God's rules, except they didn't believe in God (i.e. they only commited this one sin), they would go to Hell right?
Do you go straight to Heaven/Hell or is there a middle ground where you get judged?
Now i don't understand this what I mention above but I will explain for both possible outcomes...
(1) If this person goes straight to Hell (for commiting the sin of not believing in God) they will then think "Hey, it must be true about God because im in Hell". They now have NO sin because they believe in God therefore they are in Hell with no sin. Is this correct?
(2) If there is somewhere first before Hell where they get judged, they will think "Hey it must be true about God, I've been wrong all along", so then they would have NO sin, because they now believe in God...so they go to Heaven? If this scenario is true, then could a frequent sinner repent at this late stage and still get into Heaven?
Im confused

Kerilyn - I am not making it complex. The Bible (supposedly God's word - so if anything God is making it complex) says that non-believers go to Hell. But if you get to Hell you will believe, so you can be in Hell without sin right? thats not so comlpex...

And you are going to stay confused, because every answer you will get will be different.
Until the time when a dead person comes back, and tells me what death is like, I'm not going to speculate as to what happens after death.
I do believe that we were all put on this earth to try and leave it a better place when we die, if you get rewarded for it after death, nobody knows.

Do you know, so many people have this confusion about heaven and hell.
Heaven is a place above the earth. You jump in the air you are in heaven. The word most often translated heaven in the bible is cosmos in the greek which many will recognise as we use it in english too.
Hell is sheol and hades. Both mean gravedom which means death. So hell is actually a grave or to be dead.
We do not go to heaven we go to paradise which is actually a place on earth. This doesnt happen immediatly when we die, it happens after the return and the judgement etc has all been sorted out.
To go to hell is actually to die. There is a second death that hell specifically can apply to. This is the final death from which there is no return. And no memory will be had of the ones that end up there. It will be as if they never ever existed.
The judgement will occur before God. As Gos is spirit according to the bible, those appearing before him will do so in a spirit state so there will not be an actual place but a state to be in.
There is a lot more to this then I have room for here, but I hope this gives you enough to answer your question.

My understanding of it is that the door to heaven is open and you must choose whilst still on earth. Remember it takes faith to believe in Jesus, there is little need for faith if you have already been in his physical presence. Christians by and large hope that all people go to heaven, I have lost people who didn't know Jesus and I would love to think there is another way, I just can't see it in the Bible and it would be dangerous to teach anything we don't know.

Hell is used frequently in the King James Bible. There it is generally translated from the words Hades and Sheol. This refers to the common grave of mankind.
Even the sinless Christ when he died went there and his soul was dead for that time. (Isaiah 53:12, kjv, etc)
There is no man today that is not a sinner, so on dying everybody goes to Hades/Sheol/Grave.
What that means is found bythebible here:

I dont think the creator minds whether you beleive in him or not, that bit was prolly to control the masses (as is most of organised religion) its the living in loving kindness to all that counts.
