Well, you've already done the first step--recognized your sinfulness. And, you've clearly shown that you're sorry for what you have done. Now, the next step is to go to confession. I don't know what circumstances are impeding your participation in the sacrament, but whatever they are, there must be a way to get around them. The vast majority of parishes offer confessions regularly, and if these don't work out, you can usually call up the priest and schedule a time for confession. As for the question of dying before going to confession, what you must simply do is make your best effort to go to confession immediately. Remember--God is reasonable. If you die in a car accident on your way to confession, it would be unreasonable to assume that God didn't forgive you. Confession is the ordinary way in which sins are forgiven, but the Lord does extraordinary things as well. However, this does not mean that we should become rash and avoid going to confession. But, it does mean that we should fervently do our best to go to confession, and place our total trust in God's loving mercy, with the knowledge that He really does want us to be saved. Salvation is not a battle between you and God--He's not trying to catch you at a moment when you're in a state of mortal sin, so that He can kill you and send you to Hell forever. The Lord is kind and merciful, and He tries unceasingly to help us in our battles against Satan, his host of wicked demons, and sin. No matter what, just put your total faith in God's loving mercy, and say this simple prayer over and over in your mind: Jesus, I trust in You!
So, make an honestly earnest attempt to go to confession immediately, but remember to never give up hope in God's infinite mercy, for God is love.
God bless, and I'll make sure to pray for you in your afflictions.
By the way, I suggest buying a copy of the Catechism, if you don't already have one. Here's the ISBN: 1-57455-110-8.

The Bible says this.
1 John 2:1-2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous;
2 and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.
When Jesus died on the cross He said, "It is finished." He paid the complete penalty for sin so that we who believe don't have to.
The Bible says nothing about purgatory. It doesn't exist. It is an insult to Jesus to think that you have to add something to what He did by saying a rosary to get right with God or working it off in purgatory.
Confess your sin to God and repent. Believe that Jesus Christ did all the work so the you can stand justified before God in His righteousness, not your own.
2 Corinthians 5:21 He [God] made Him [Jesus] who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Notice that the mediator between God and man is Jesus, not a priest. Confess to God.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all.
If you have repented of your sins and trusted Jesus for your salvation, you need not worry about being cast into hell.

Relax, nothing you did could make you deserve to be tortured for eternity. If you wronged a real life person, then you have to make it right with them. Absolving yourself by reciting some saying isn't going to make it right. If you didn't wrong a real life person, then you didn't do anything wrong. No need for a guilt trip over something that doesn't harm anyone. edit: I can respect you without respecting your religion. And if your god is most merciful, then it wouldn't threaten to torture you for eternity. And it wouldn't demand "repentance" for something that didn't hurt anyone. And it couldn't be hurt itself, if it's an omnipotent being.
