I'm curious because so many here seem to feel that if you believe in evolution you must be an atheist or you don't believe in God. Personaly I don't think they're mutually exclusive but I'm interested in what others think.

I saw this movie once about this cult. The cult members were not allowed to eat any protien. Supposedly this was so their minds could be easily controlled. All of the BA christians I have met act just like those cult members in that movie. Lets all help the world change for the better - take a BAC out for a burger and deprogram them!

Genesis 3 has God cast the humans out of the garden of Eden lest they take the fruit of the tree of life and eat it and live forever. So why do so many young-earth creationists say that there was no death before the Fall? It sounds more like living forever was a free gift God had for them but which they forfeited. Maybe some people should read their Bibles more carefully...

Jesus of Nazereth or darwin?

They both contradict each other.
Darwin says only the fittest survive while Jesus of Nazereth says the meek shall inherit the earth.

Looks like in the long run darwin is wrong.Will evolutionist fundies ever admit they are wrong?

what do you guys think the behrmoth is, i personally think it is a hippo seeing how behemoth is chief in God's ways and a hippo sits in the river representing God's presence. and the only thing in contradiction to the hippo is the tail of ceder which may mean its genetalia and sways translates to extends. . . forgive me if i was too graphic.

I earlier asked a question about science compared to the bible.

One of the answers was this:
"Science has not proven anything! I have studied science - science means knowledge, and the stuff they are pushing in your so called science text books is hogwash. There is no working models for evolution. There is no working theories, working meaning you can test your "theory" that is the only way to make it a "theory" if it is testable or not, otherwise it is just a "hypothesis" which is the basis for "hypothetical statements". The books of Genesis and Exodus have been proven to be accurate historical evidence. yet if you dont believe in the Word of God why you here in the first place? "

If anyone cares to visit www.talkorigins.org they will find mountains of factual evidence, all quite credible, in support of evolution. Tens of thousands of pages of evidence.

Where's the credible evidence for Genesis?

As for why am I here, someone needs to counter these bizarre opinions!

Atheists I think believe we are here for no reason at all, and so we can each make up our own reason that suits us. Christians believe we are here to serve and glorify the God of the Bible. Eastern Religions and New Agers believe we are here to learn and experience and we keep getting reincarnated until that job is done. Many people who have Near Death Experiences also say this is what they learned. But Christians warn that mystical experiences and NDE's are tricks from Satan to keep you from believing in Jesus so you'll go to hell.

People have beliefs about why we're here but we can never know for sure until after we die (assuming we even find anything out then), so the only people who REALLY know, and who no one can refute, are the ones who can't come back to tell us.

So since no one can KNOW that theirs is the "correct" path (if there is one), how does anyone decide on a path to take in life. How did you decide on yours?

he set up the world and it's system of barter, for everything we get we have to give something in return, so why does he expect us to keep feeding him with praysers, canldes, churches and other mumbo jumbo trappings when he does nothing? I don't want to make anyone upset by asking or cause people to start posting mean stuff. I was reading Arabian Nights to my kids and I was a little confused because there were references to Arabia, Orient, India, and Persia. I just assumed that Persian and Arabic were the same but I know that this may be wrong. I wanted to explain to my kids exactly what regions were considered Persia and Arabia and the diferences between two if there are any.

im confused on this subject im a scientific kind of person i think theres a reason for everything and im kinda confised on what to believe i want to believe in god that we have souls and adam and eve and all that but well i dont and i dont want to go to hell and suffer for not believing a person who 1. never helps during anything and 2. has never amde an actual appearnce on earth there are so many things that prove god wrong for 1. inbreeding adam and eve i guess were related beacuse he made her from a rib bone and witch sutch a lack of variety wouldent we all look almost teh same???? and second there is proof that monkeys are just like us adn they have also proved that most of the bliblical events are inprobbible. people have been making stories for centuries ever played the game tellephone???
