I know, mankind spends $3 Billion a year supporting 1500 different religious sects and God doesn't contribute a dime. We build thousands of Cathedrals, Mosques, Synagogues and God hasn't shown up in one of them. And forget about the death toll from killing in the name of God. Our deity is either disrespectful or doesn't exist.

If you were the ruler of the world woud YOU think you should have to earn your keep ???
The Tithe or Offerings given to the church are for the benefit of the giver. You see, what you give is what you get in this world...good or bad. It's just a law of living, whether you choose to believe in God or not. God is a gentlemen, He won't force you to do anything - - - you choose.
Unfortunately, it's my sense, life has let you down and now you are doubting God. I say doubting because via your wording, it's certain you understand, "God Is".
A lesson I had to learn the hard way, the longer you stay mad at God, the less time He has to Bless YOU.
Here's a couple resources below.

Earn His keep?
Ahhh...so I guess creating & maintaining all nationalities, countries, oceans, gravity, air supply, sunlight, sight, hearing, vocal chords, a brain, a beating heart, mobility, moonlight, water, trees, grasses, animals, and blessing us with life, love, hopes, dreams, memories, babies in life and nature...these little basics mundane necessities that everyone for the most part, enjoys but rarely appreciates until they STOP working or are lost...all of the above is what just...incidentals? gimmes?
You probably do not count them as "proof of God's existence" either, huh?
Well I admit that you sound angry and resentful and frightened and you most probably DO have pains, troubles, and issues...everyone does if they live long enough.
But the sad thing is that most people USED to admit to being directly or indirectly responsible for their own and their part of the world's ills. But I keep forgetting that socially/politically current leaders/teachers/parents/friends now ascribe to the "it is never your own fault...nor your responsibility for whatever happens in your life".
It is the no moral absolutes blame game in FULL season. Someone or something else is too blame.
And unfortunately God is the most convenient target.

Ever heard of atomic theory? The nucleus of an atom should fly apart since it is composed of protons, and like charged particles repel. In the case of the atom, they don't due to a mysterious force which does NOT obey the rules of ordinary physics (the strong nuclear force). Scientists are not even sure what it is or why it is, but it simply MUST be or the universe would not, could not, exist. How strong is it? A million, billion, billion, billion, billion times the strength of gravity (the weak nuclear force).
According to the Bible, God upholds all things by the word of his power. If He did not actively participate in the universe ever millisecond of every day without fail since the beginning of time, you could not draw your next breath. In fact, it is nothing other than the mere whim of God that you exist, and that in spite of your mockery and blasphemy.

What makes you think he wants prayer, candles, churches and other mumbo jumbo?
And who says he isn't earning his keep? Were you wiped out by a drunk driver yesterday? That's the thing, you never know what he's doing or done to keep things from getting worse than they are.
I think a better question might be, "Why don't we start earning OUR keep?"
My kid asked me why there was evil in the world, why God doesn't just step in and take things in hand. I said, "Then what would people do? There is evil around because we haven't done our bit to put a stop to it."

so you don't believe in little miracles and think that they are God's work such as a baby with no chance at life, dies maybe then comes back to life? I know sometimes it is hard to believe because I myself have never seen a miracle preformed by God either.......I just don't know why he only helps some people.

because he doesn't exist and people can't accept the fact that they have to solve their own problems and accept the fact that there isn't some greater power that has already had the lives planned out for a couple billion people and also be able to solve all of their problems

Because he will throw you into the fiery pit if you don't.
He will do it, he's done it before to 1/3 of our (spiritually) big brothers and sisters, so watch it.
We know this 'cos the Bileble tells us so, and that is God's word, so it must be right! How doe we know it is God's word? 'Cos it says so!
