If all christians did was 'pray' for other people who are different from themselves then I think you wouldn't be seeing this backlash, would you?
Look at yourselves, do the CHRISTIAN thing and analyze what about your behavior and your statements annoys other people.

The main intent of the Religious category of Yahoo Questions is for people who have legitimate questions on religion (any religion, not just Christianity) to get Legitimate Answers from people who know the answers.
This category is so abused by morons who have nothing better to do than to pick fights and arguments - they really don't care whether someone needs a real answer. Most are atheists who think they are being cute and some are just kids looking to upset people. Every time someone gives them the response they are looking for, then they are tickled pink and ready to insult, slander and argue even more.

Shake your head.. its not just christians being "persecuted" this forum is the absolute without a doubt most hate filled, narrow minded ignorant category.. members of EVERY religion or lack thereof are guilty of being mean and derogatory to others here in this section. Keep in mind this is also a category with alot of intelligent, polite, open minded people too.. but overall there is much more disrespect for one another amongst everyone.

I don't see it that way because some of the so-called Christians on here persecute atheists, and those they consider to be non-christian. It's more like a "persecute everyone who does not believe like i do form." Because even some of the so-called Christians are practicing hate, ridicule and persecution.

Another thing that's all too common is the obvious anger in their words. We already know that not all will have eyes and ears. The stereotype christian is not flattering. Those that think they know what it really is are so blind to the truth. In their defense there are a lot of people claiming to be christians who answer what they don't know which only brings down the credibility of those that do. It was all written before, it shouldn't be a surprise. What I really find interesting is how many of these "angry people" who mock and have "all the answers" is how many of them have usernames with intentional blasphemy, mockery and anti christian slogans. They have an agenda to go out of their way to criticize what they don't know. To have a name broadcasting that agenda tells a story before they write word one.

it goes without saying that some people are just closed minded... there shouldn't be any abuse yet there is... i have seen atheists attack the Christians and i have been told by a christian to "shut up *****.." when i was asking for what Christians believe, i didn't even imply my own thoughts in the question.... so both sides are abusive.... however this is RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY.... so atheists have a right to be here to voice there opinion and so do Christians, but nobody has the right to abuse others... it is sad. but unfortunately everybody has their own spirituality therefore, can voice there ideas.

I'm beating the same drum but the story with some athiests is like this.
Just suppose you owned a bar,Now just suppose you barred someone for being gay.
What the gays would do is they would gather a possie and they would begin to frequent your bar and drive regular customers away,They place would be swamped with gays trying to ruin your business.
Everyone knows christians and gays dont like each other so a lot of gays come here posing as athiests.
The reason they call themselves athiests is they want to appear to have regular call to be here and also they can chip away at christianity without drawing critisism on the gay "community".
Also dont expect to go long without a "gay good guy" turning up.

you should take that real placed up you basically typed and replace "Pagans" and "Christians" with the different religious team. i'm going to demonstrate: "maximum Christians in my journey are exceptionally vocal whilst somebody even tricks that they may be incorrect yet they seem to have a definite fondness for slamming atheists each and each time they are able to. I even have visited truly some Christian boards and there is exceedingly much continually a thread or section that includes the vilest insults which you are able to imagine to atheists and this often this attracts severe compliment from the ‘moderators’ of the controversy board. Why don’t they insult human beings? consistent with threat their faith is so detrimental in ideals that they are able to basically define themselves by utilising insulting others? Please provide me your evaluations in this. (by utilising the way i do no longer hate Christians; I basically experience that they are misguided in this remember)" i don't recognize what boards you're examining, yet i've got been to numerous Christian boards available to boot, and that they do no longer look to be precisely without insults in direction of different communities. Do you truly have self belief that there is no longer an equivalent volume of bashing on the Christian area in direction of atheists, Muslims, Pagans, homosexuals and others?

Jesus answered the question this way:
“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own. Now because you are no part of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on this account the world hates you. Bear in mind the word I said to you, A slave is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will persecute you also; if they have observed my word, they will observe yours also. But they will do all these things against you on account of my name, because they do not know him that sent me.” (John 15:18-21) As the apostle Paul pointed out in his second inspired letter to Timothy, persecution is something Christians have to expect. He wrote: “All those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted.”—2 Timothy 3:12.

A lot of the Christians that get persecuted, are the ones that did it first.
