Not only is the world a better place because of love, regardless of who loves who, but it is necessary in order to balance out the misery caused by fundamentalists spouting hell and damnation. How much more beautiful would this world be for its inhabitants if fundamentalists had no voice, kept their hatred and flawed judgments to themselves so people could just rejoice in their love for one another. I have no hope of fundamentals ever creating or spreading joy, unless they get real and the blinkers fall off. Peace to you and your sweet intent.

I asked this same question a while ago. I just don't think there is an argument that stands up to scrutiny. The main response, as you imply, tends to be Biblical. Or people say that it's unnatural, which is a pointless argument: even if the term weren't subjective, we could call all sorts of things unnatural (like wearing shoes).
There's also this tremendous tendency to equate being gay with having anal sex with men. But they're not the same thing; women do it; does this mean that lesbians aren't immoral? Or that gay men who just do oral aren't immoral? Besides, why should anal sex be "immoral"?
Or people say it's immoral because it doesn't make babies. So are monasticism and chastity immoral?
Or you get this weird raving about "rearranging the circle of life in a straight line". I don't think that's even worth responding to.
Or finally, people just say "it's disgusting". This is the level of argument some people operate at: one that would condemn the eating of pilchards in my book.

We both know that since homosexuality hurts nobody, always assuming it’s taking place between consenting equals, it’s obviously not immoral.
Folks quote the Bible to hide their homophobic agenda -- It's an easy refuge for folks who prefer not to have their thinking challenged. Other words describing this are jingoism and bigotry. Studies show that to the extent that Americans know an openly gay person, to a similar extent do they want equal rights for gays --in other words, if you have an opnely gay friend, you're less likely to try pass laws to hurt gays.
It would be impossible to list all the reasons why the Bible as a weapon against homosexuality is ridiculous -- What is important is that gays and lesbians are able to show, why bigotry and homophobia are hurtful and ridiculous.

Moses wrote it in Leviticus thousands of years formerly Paul became born through fact he knew Paul would see toddlers being raped interior the streets of Rome?!?!?!?!? in spite of each and all of the rhetoric, there is no longer good data that homosexuality is in born. There are some examine that tutor that specific animals (houseflies, canines) will carry out gay acts. for this reason, pundits end, homosexuality is totally organic. it is not extra medical than pink necks asserting it is unnatural. What I certainly have seen in my medical artwork is that there is a sturdy correlation between sexual abuse and homosexuality. Granted my childrens at the instant are not a classic inhabitants (approximately ninety% have been abused), and that i'm no longer making that organic regulation, yet I certainly have suggested it many times. specific, costly heart, they are hurting one yet another. once you insert some thing large (like a penis or a fist) into some thing small (like an asshole or a vagina) you will reason tearing if the small ingredient is fragile (like an asshole or a vagina). Any emergency room worker in San Francisco assist you to be attentive to there are human beings harm via homosexuality. a number of them on Medicaid or Medicare, so, specific, it is my organisation. traditionally, each subculture in the worldwide, has had taboos against homosexuality. in the present day formerly the fall of Rome it became tolerated--basically as a tutor of dominance. Rome additionally allowed pedophilia and had kings who killed their sister aborting their (the king's and the sister's) infant. you basically see homosexuality embraced via a subculture while the subculture is coming aside on the seams and individuals are dropping all experience of potential of will. Why ought to you carry YOUR concept device into my existence? tell me: what organisation is it of yours if i desire to precise my opinion? Does it harm you? Why do try to be in my face? who're you to limit my freedom of speech? Why do you care? Is it considering the fact which you secretly be attentive to i'm good?

As a person who is not gay, an actor who has spent 54 years in the professional theatre, I know for a fact that gay guys and lesbians are among the most gifted men and women on the planet. What the Bible says on this and many other matters is of no importance.

...I just don’t get it. In my mind its not who we love, it’s the fact that we can and we do find happiness with someone. When 2 people love each other mind body and soul even though same gender surely there is nothing immoral, it can only be beautiful as love is exactly that….Beautiful…

When I was young, I used to think that Homosexuality is 'bad' and 'not acceptable'. Thats what I was taught since I was a little girl.
Now, I havea few close male friends who are in relationships with males. I realized that there is nothing wrong with being homosexual.
Its just not widely accepted by the society. People tend to judge whats 'good behaviour' and 'bad behaviour'. Whats morally right and wrong etc..
well, in my opinion, I dont see it as immoral. Maybe I dont have a religion. Maybe, I just see life from a different angle.
Who are we to judge?

I do not find homosexuality immoral.
Love is beautiful, it doesn't matter if it's between 2 females, 2 males, 1 of each or larger groups in whatever configurations... As long as it's between consenting adults kudos to your love...

Lou B.-my apologies. I inadvertently chose "thumbs down" when I meant the opposite.
Homosexuality isn't immoral, it's the persecution it generates that is!
*edit
Well said, Mia. I read Janet H.'s post and immediately felt ill and angry.
