When you die, and find out that you were wrong about hell, would you want God to send a messenger to warn your family and friends?

But then how to explain the fact that this kind of marriage ends more and more up dissolving and does not last really long enough any more?
Personally, I prefer the marriage by free assent of joint because considering the high number of the sexually transmitted diseases, one can not risk his life while marrying with an unknown whom he has never seen and of whom he knows absolutely nothing. For that I prefer to still better marry somebody than I chose myself and than I know perfectly well.

evolution is a theory, and theories are best guesses or explanations that are not backed with factual proof or a belief, policy, or procedure proposed or followed as the basis of action; an ideal or hypothetical set of facts...
believing in God is faith, and faith is firm belief in something for which there is no proof...
now to both the other is wrong, whether in the name of science or God...so the another question is why...is it intolerance of both parties...and why would either be taught in school when neither can be proven with facts...just belief...

since nobody really understood my last question... >_>

If there was a god who knew everything, why even bother creating the people destined for hell?

He knew they would end up in hell, yet he still created them...

Put yourself in god's shoes - You're about to create a person. Since you know everything, you look into this person's future, and see that they are destined to go to hell. You have the chance to save a living creature from eternal suffering, yet you still create them. Why? Are you really that sadistic?

I mean, seriously people. We're still discovering new species every year NOW, and we're supposed to believe Noah gathered 2 of every species THEN when he didn't even have a car, let alone a plane?

And then he is supposed to have housed them all on a boat that wasn't even the size of modern cruise ship? And where did he keep food for this teeming mass of creatures?

Pastor Joe Wright
Prayer in the Legislature in the United States of America

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.,
We know your word says, “Woe to those who call evil good” but that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We confess we have ridiculed the absolute faith of your word and called it pluralism.
We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
We have endorsed perversion and called it alternated lifestyles.
We have exploited the poor and called it lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem.
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbours possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time honoured values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us O God, and know our hearts today, cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men & women who have been sent to direct us to the centre of your will. I ask it in the name of our son, the living Saviour, Jesus Christ, Amen.

Our mother Earth is really hurting...we all know that regardless of our belief systems......
How far would you go to protect what we have left?
Would you be happy to live without the convienences of todays society?
I personally would be happy to give up private transport....Private to me means just that....Police/ambulance/transport industry and taxis and busses planes all still working, but no one would have a private car....
I would gladly give up electricity....but i would miss the convienence in the laundry and kitchen! But i would do it!
I would give up our convienience products to cut down the refuse...
How far would you go?
What would you sacrifice?
What would you hate to loose?
Please take the time to answer this, My husband thinks i have lost the plot!!
Could you also please, just for my own curiosity, let me know what religion you follow?
Blessings Everyone!

You know if what you do will hurt someone---you know when you help someone. You cannot escape the reality of good and evil. We are not mindless robots--we make our own decisions---to help or to harm. Agree?

First off, I am agnostic.. so I am not trying to bash anyone's beliefs.. I am just trying to sort this out..

Much of what a Christian believes is heavily reliant on a person's ability to make a choice.. that God has given us free will.. After all without free will choices would not be possible.. neither would morals for that matter..

And YET whenever something bad happens, all I hear from Christians is "It was meant to be", or "It was part of God's plan".. These are very deterministic statements.. and very contradictory to the belief in free will.. If everything is "meant to be" then NOTHING is left to choice.. every so-called decision we make is just part of "God's plan".

So my question is, do you believe God has given us free will, or do you believe that God has a plan? It is not possible to have both, and of that you cannot convince me otherwise..

Just curious what Christians REALLY believe..
