soooo if all the animals got saved ... and it is believed that the dinosaurs didnt ( as i have read so many times )
and sea creatures live under water so are saved anyway ...
what happened to the Ictheosaurus and other sea dwelling dinosaurs ?

I am an Atheist, but I'm not sure either way. Although we would be rid of all religious wars, arguments and such, I can't help but feel the world would we worse without the basic human kindness messages that religions preach.

Why must those with a religious belief insist on quoting the Bible / Quran etc (even listing the paragraphs), when those of us with differing views question the reasons or validity of their beliefs? And ... Why are they unable to present proven scientific quantifyable and repeatable evidence (Q.E.D) to the debate, preferring to refer to a book written in the middle ages as their evidence?

My relative is very charming , sociable and has completed her management education., after doing advanced course in English Literature. She is in her late twenties and is from a good educated Hindu family. But she is somewhat overweight. She is also well employed and earning a fairly good salary.Nowadays , it seems, all qualities become secondary to a girl being ' tall & slim'. Her parents are getting really worried as they would definitely like to see her married and settled ,reasonably well.
Suggestions / advice / proposals are welcome , with details. Thanx.

The literal translation seems to be 'put in front', but that doesn't really make sense in this context. I'm reading an interview and the sentance is as follows;

"...ce besoin aussi de ne pas se mettre en avant..."

Which I read as 'also this need of/to not...'. Can anyone help? Thanks.

they cant spell my name they say its hard for them...they dont even try. when they invite us they only write my husband´s name and my first name only....no surname.

What can you do to ensure that your funeral goes exactly like you want it? I remember that when my Grandfather died my grandmother had his entire funeral done catholic style...and My grandfather would have hated that...he wasn't catholic he was Pentacostal and he spoke many times to the rest of his family about how much he didn't want to have anything to do with the Catholic faith(my grandmother is catholic) So after seeing this how can I make sure this doesn't happen to me....I know a will could state your wishes but how can you be sure they actually go through with what you want. I mean your dead so it doesn't matter but seriously, I really want it to reflect me and not what my family wants. Any suggestions?

I see stuff all the time about saying "It was this and that that made me do it." Like when I went on a teen pregnancy site and one of help things said "Maybe you didn't mean to have sex." How can you not mean to have sex? "I don't know what happened, we were talking and the next thing I knew I was pregnant." Or people that ***** that rock/ heavy metal/ "ruined" their life. Seems to me that people like putting the blame on other things then accepting responsibility. One of the things ppl said against rock music was that it leads to a bad lifestyle. They'd do drugs, drink, everything cuz rock music "influenced" them. Actually I think I should report this to a center of learning cuz I don't think they know that rock music has arms and legs and the ability to force you to do things. YOU MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES. What do these people do? Go through a daily phase of stupidity?
