Seems to me that it's nicer to simply say, "Thank you for the invitation. I am sorry I will not be able to attend." and leave it at that. My husband insists on providing reasons - which sometimes means he makes something up or stretches the truth and it drives me nuts. Seems to me I don't owe anyone the details of my reasons for not attending something. I owe them only my prompt reply with a thank you. Well? What do you think?

How many of you empathize with Anakin Skywalker? I personally found him to be the most empathetic character and walked out of the theatre crying thinking about how I would do the same thing if I were in his position. Who wouldn't sell their soul to the devil to try to save the one they love from dying?

I was watching a show on EWTN (Eternal World Television Network) and it said that one of the Disciples is buried in the center of the Vatican. Can someone tell me which one it is? I can't remember if it's Matthew, Paul, or Peter.

I read and answer questions in this section. Why do people keep on trying to get me to pray out the gay or say things that can cause offence!
Quite obviously most the ppl on this section are small minded homophobs so wont take those answers sympathetically! They are preaching to the wrong audience!

Never have I thought after one of these comments that God hates me or a better start acting straight again!

My message to them is to give up and get a clue!

(thanx for that my rant is over now)

My best mate lived in London with me until we were both 20 then he moved away to Scotland and now after a year he has a strong Scottish accent, do you think this can actually be done or has he just tried to blend in with his environment. To be honest he has lost all trace of having a London accent. Do you think after him living in a Scottish environment for some time he can totally adopt this new accent.

What about Islam and Judism, they are abomination to God too aren't they?

Is it really about God and abominations, or is it about homophobia?

Christians, than it is for non-Christians ???

Sometimes we read too much into a question....... .And often, we are mistaken about the true meaning of that question. To be clear, after reading many questions and answers, it appears to me that there is a difference in the true meaning of LOVE. And BTW, I am in no way saying that non-Christians do not know Love, I just think there may be a difference in interptetation. And that's why I'm asking. Thank you and God Bless.

Some christians go through a great deal of suffering and trials beyond their control. Many are born into abusive families, and go through physical, social, mental, and other types of pains until their last day on earth.

In contrast, other Christians share constant good news of how the Lord has blessed them, and though they may have had challenges, even they admit, they've never had to suffer like other christians? How does God determine who will suffer the? Of course it doesn't seem fair from a human perspective, but what do some of you feel may be God's reasons, or is this something we will never have the answer to? The Bible says God will not allow his children to endure more than they can bear. Does being stronger mean one should suffer more?

Christians prove the case for evolution when they admit that Adam and Eve evolved into the different races that exist today. Monkey or fish stages then become completely reasonable.

For those of you that are against it for religious reasons (It's against God's teachings) why? Because it says so in the bible?

If God created the world, humans, animals etc then why would he create animals that would go against his "teachings" I hardly think that the Black Swans pray for forgivness when they are doing what comes naturally to them. So couldn't that be explained for humans, they are doing what comes naturally to them?
