the Jehovas Witness (spl?) religion forbids relationships in your teens. But to be honest it's ridiculous. You only live once, if you want a girlfriend then get one, it doesn't matter if she doesn't love you, its not going to last forever so just ENJOY!!!!

I don't see any reason why you couldn't have a girlfriend, unless your parents have said no. The ethics plays into how far you and your girlfriend go in showing your love for each other. I think it's ok for teens to have girlfriends/boyfriends, I don't think it's acceptable for teens to have sexual relationships. That comes from my own experience. Most teens are not capable of making a number of decisions that can come from taking a relationship that far. I think it's more a development issue than a morality one even. But that is just my opinion.
Just be a kid while you still can. Leave the adult decisions and responsibilities for when the time comes. I don't see it ethically wrong to have a g/f and I don't see anything wrong with innocent forms of affection. My advice is just don't take it too far.

Having a teenage girlfriend or not is ethically neutral, unless you are considerably older than her and risk impairing her ability to make her own decisions. How you treat your girlfriend is a matter of ethics, the main principle of which is to avoid doing harm.

Only if you are the same age. Otherwise, you're either too young to make that decision or she is. You can be stupid together, but if you're a few years older, maybe you should wait until she's legally capable of making decisions.

Ethical?
Can't say .....but it sure isn't wise.
Before pairing up with another, its best to be whole and complete oneself.
One is not such at 15, 17, etc.
We're still growing, developing, maturing.

do not look to god or religion for indicators on ethics, the church is the most unethical institution on the planet, almost as bad as government

Yes. Most religions allow you to have a gf and or some interaction at teenage (though most abstain from sex before marriage).

have a girlfriend is natural however, I would court her because courting and abstaning from sexual pleasures shows how much you love her.
