Hello: I will offer you a non-sectarian answer. I am not anti-Semitic or anti-Christian.
First, there's the importance of marriage and children to carry on the family name in Biblical times. The text states that Lot's daughters had a conversation where they made their decision based on the belief that there were no elligible males left. Their fiancés perished in the destruction.
Second, they tricked him. They made him get drunk and then had sex with him on successive nights. This puts the blame on the daughters and exculpates the father. Typical of a patriarchal society.
Third, there is prejudice. Further along in the text, it is stated that the eldest daughter had a son and called him Moab, who became the ancestor of the Moabites, and the younger daughter had a son and called him Ben-Ammi, who became the ancestor of the Ammonites. These two groups of people became enemies of the Israelites. In short, the text is saying they deserve to be our enemies because they are the descendants of incest. Something similar is told of Noah's son Cam. He finds his father drunk and naked in his tent, he does not cover him and keep the secret. (In this culture nakedness was considered very shameful.) Instead, he goes and tells his other brothers. Whe Noah awakes he curses Cam's son Canaan, who became the ancestor of the Canaanites, who were enemies of the Israelites.
In short, this story explains why the descendants of Abraham and Lot became enemies, when they were relatives. (Abraham was Lot's uncle).
Please be aware that there have been many cultures where incest was ok.
When you read the Hebrew Scriptures please remember they are ancient writings. People were quite racist, intolerant, and xenophobic back then. Unfortunately, there are plenty of intolerant and xenophobic people around today that use ancient texts to condemn and ostracise others.

He did not do it knowingly. His daughters got him drunk first. See Gen. 19:32-36.

Try reading the verses again and you will find that they, his daughters, got him drunk and they screwed him while he was in a drunken stupor.
