As a follow up, I'm no longer Christian... the least reason being that I could never understand why a question such as this could never be answered by anyone I asked. I KNOW sea creatures can't drown. But apparently only two of anything survived the flood. Again... what happened to the sea creatures.

Trying to explain Noah in logical terms is impossible, and of course it is not a true story. There are hundreds of logical arguments that can be made to disprove Noah's Ark... I'll just hit my favorites

How big does a boat have to be to hold every species know to man? How did Noah build it with 2000 yo technology?

How did Noah have the knowledge of every species? Did God give him a master list?

How did all the animals survive without plant material? Plants are alive, why weren't they saved?

Why didn't the natural enemies eat each other on the boat?

What about microbes and ameoba and the like? How would Noak collect those, or even know of their existance?

I think it gets more and more obvious that Noah's Ark is a fable and can never be rationalized. We need to abandon our ancient myths for a belief in our human ability to use logic and reason to understand the world we live in.

In English the word "animal" covers every living thing that's not a plant.

But the ancient words in the Bible, which translate into "animal" in English, probably didn't go that far. They probably only covered land animals, while the creatures in the sea were referred to with some other word that doesn't have an exact English equivalent.

So, the sea creatures were not being mentioned in the Noah and the Ark story.

GOOD QUESTION!

First off, sea creatures need a certain level of salt in the water to survive. If the water level had risen to the mountain tops, the salt content would be drastically changed!

Secondly, the freshwater fish would then have salt content added (because the oceans ran over onto land) killing them as well.

So the fish wouldn't have drowned, they would have had an electrolyte problem and all died. That is, if the Noah story is true (which it's not)

no of course they did'nt LOL!
because they all neded different water conditions
Noah and his sons built an enourmous structure just to house all those aquatic creatures .
here is what happened

LOL yes you are correct!,
there is a story i remember , which backs your theory completely;.

Noah was not one, to miss a trick
He had thought deeply , about how to house the fishes !!!!!!

So when they had completed the Ark,
and safely ushered all the pairs of animals into it .

Noah and his sons, set to to build this huge structure,
to hold many, many pairs of fish ,all sorts .
this was towed behind the Ark , through out' the Flood '

and as it was so large, most of it was deep under water.
Goldfish (carp) were on the 3rd floor ( section 12)

When Noah landed on mount Ararat ,after all that rain had stopped .
He, with his wife's assistance ( she was strong and willing), released all those fishes, into the water ,which was still cascading , down the mountain- side below the ark .
Some found their way into rivers ,some into lakes, some even made it to the sea!
The fishes all found good homes and spawned happily ever after.

When the fish place ,became redundant (after the flood )
and had dried out a bit in the sun.
It became quite an eyesore . Causing Mrs Noah, to complain .

Noah who was quite astute , sold it for a goodly price .

It was completely refurbished , to become the Tower of Babel,

Which as we all know, became

the Intenational Multi Storey Carp Ark .

I hope this information was helpful

All land animals, bird of the air and creeping creatures (insects) went on the ark.

How can a water creature drown in a rain storm? Maybe some did or were stranded on land after the water receded (were beached) but God did kill the water creatures.

Did you realize the error in this question yet ?
The 'sea' creatures, fish etc., live in water. More water is more living space.
We had a flood about 10 years ago. The river, 2 blocks away, flooded all the way to our back door. Yes, we had fish in our backyard.

Was the flood salt water or fresh water? If salt water we would have no fresh water fish today, if fresh water we would have no salt water fish today.
The only answer is Noah had to collect all the fish and put them in aquariums in the Ark.
Also he would have had to collect all the corals and sea weeds other wise they would have been buried beneath a mountain of sediment.
Hmmmm
I think Noah musta bin a busy fella.

if they're sea creatures, how can they drown? i would think that the seals and such would have been on the ark as well too.

no they still knew how to swim, but if you read the story you will see he took more then just two of each kind. Read Genesis chapter 7 in 7:2 it says of every clean beast thou thou shalt take to thee by 7's.
i think you were trying to be funny fish drowning ok

Why would sea creatures drowned? The water is where they make their home, an abundance of it wouldnt kill them, they wouldnt need to go on the ark.
