After living in Europe for several years, now back to Asia, I suffered a kind of reversed culture shock syndrome, meaning wanting to go back to where my 'home' was. Now I am still coping. I love my home country but my heart is still back in my ex-home. Anyone feels the same?

The past few years have been extremely difficult for me. I went from a person who was happy and healthy to a person who wants to do nothing but stay in bed all day. My GPA was a 3.6 now it is a 2.4.

I'm extremely miserable. I cry all the time, find it hard to sleep at night, and have lost contact w/ what little friends I've had. I've been to three therapist, all of whom state I need to be put on anti-depressants. My mother, however, has been refusing to let me take them. She does not believe that I need anti-depressants. She thinks I'm just plain lazy. I know that my therapists have all been right, especially since I've had a lot of suicidal thoughts but how do I convince my mom of that?

She does not know about the crying or suicidal thoughts b/c that would just piss her off and start a major argument b/w us. Also, I can't go behind her back and take them b/c we live in a very small 1 bedroom apartment and she's a stay at home mom who knows everything thing that goes on at home

I have too many awful burdens and resentments throughout my teenhood. I'm now 18 yrs old and i find it very hard to move forward with all of this. Every single day i try my best to fight it all off by pretending that it is all gone. But once i think i fought it all off they all come back and bring me down. It sort of like it gets the best of me everytime. I've tried so many ways to stay emotionally strong with all of this, but it is so much that i cannot handle. I really don't want the burdens and resentments to carry on with me into my adulthood. I want to start living a life of being worry free and just free. I want to stop it all right now. I've tried various amounts of counseling and therapy but none work.

I'm organising our school girls soccer team. One girl (who was self appointed captain) doesn't even make it to practices, smokes, drinks a lot and obese!

Anyway, I am organising it. Although she has done nothing, she still claims to be captain.

I talked to our school sports coordinator about this situation and she said that "Nicole is having 'family issues'".

We all have problems. No one lives in a perfect world! My mother married an abusive alcoholic and I was sexually abuse and raped and I've been through a hell of a life. I don't bring it to school though.

Can anyone really use this as an excuse? Don't we all have issues? No one has a perfect life!
