After living in Europe for several years, now back to Asia, I suffered a kind of reversed culture shock syndrome, meaning wanting to go back to where my 'home' was. Now I am still coping. I love my home country but my heart is still back in my ex-home. Anyone feels the same?

I think a lot of people who lived abroad and come back do. Is nice to have 2 homes and the nice memories are part and parcel of life. I think is all about discovering how people are to you in diferrent country makes it why you miss it, is not the place itself. But with the internet, nothing is impossible. You can keep on keeping touch with your friends who are there.

I don't know if this helps, but here is what I think:
Nostalgia is very normal, even in irrational animals! So I guess you are getting used to adapting again...and I would advise that you think objectively about the palce that you miss. Think about the good memories as well as the not-so-good memories. Sometimes we miss what we think is real, but some other times reality is just a matter of perception.
If you have the chance to go back and visit that would help.

I can relate....I moved from southeasten us to northeastern, when it was time to come back, I was homesick for New England for several years after, it had become home to me.....I've gotten over it, I have a life here now, after being back for 15 years, but I do expect to move back up there again some day, and then I will probably have to adjust to that all over again...
