and I didn't see them for months, they tried to gain eye contact. I tried to be friendly and chat/smile and they averted their eyes (to shut me up) and looked back and continue to gaze in silence. Do you think they were still trying to intimidate overtly with others in the room?

I am doing a report for my college psychology class. I need to know from men and women what your views on physical abuse in relationships are. What do you consider abuse? Having a heated argument and pushing one another…..or pushing one another then wrestling around? What about the women pushing the man and the man pushing her back? Or the man puts his hands around the women’s throat? Is this physical abuse and would you stay in a relationship like this…even if it just happened once or twice? Now what about actually hitting…say punching each other in the arm and wrestling then choking then it escalates to punching each other in the face. What is your definition of physical abuse and how much of it would you take before you left?
Thanks for your help.

Hi all,

Ever since I can remember I have had a problem with money - I can't seem to hang onto it. It's like I get an urge to spend everything as soon as I get paid and leave myself up sh*t creak for the rest of the month.

Is this something that can be rectified or am I consigned to live a life of always being skint?

Would any kind of therapy help or some other form of treatment?

I'm aware the obvious answer would be to just not spend it but if it were that simple I wouldn't be posting for help.

Has anyone else had a similar problem and overcome it?

I'm pretty much known as a scrounger at work as come the middle of the month I'm borrowing money, smoke's etc and it aint doing my self esteem any good.

How can I just leave my money untouched and only buy things that are needed and have the odd treat?

I correspond with a professor who is supposed to supervise my research proposal, but recently he has not replied.

The thing is I asked if I could do research in another area ther than his because I didn't particularly understand that area he specialised in.

What should I do?

I'm writing an article (more like an essay) on children and how we effect the world. I need some information, but I can't find what I need. Warning- this topic may be a bit unnerving, so please don't leave hate comments/answers.

What I'm looking for is a '*blank* out of *blank* children are abused every year' or something. I need some backup information. Anyone who can help me, please do! Thanks.

My first real clear memory was when I was a little over the age of 3 and it was an embarassing moment at the time. I really was afraid of using the toilet so I went number two in my diaper, which was a very private thing. I was old enough to talk and understand that it was wrong, but I was just afraid of potty training. One day my mom had to go to some appointment so she had to drop me off at one of her friend's houses who I had never met. At some point I pooped and I remember trying to hide because I didn't want my diaper changed by a stranger, but eventually she did change me. I don't know why, but seventeen years later this memory has come back to me and now I am really uncomfortable with diapers. Every time I hear the word it bothers me, every time I see kids with them it makes me unconfortable, and every time I see comercials with them on T.V. I leave the room. I can't even say the word diaper to people. How do I overcome this fear, Have you ever heard of anything like this?

I've had this reaccuring dream for years. I'm swimming in the ocean, which I love to do, and suddenly the sand rises and makes like a sand mountain. Now I'm trapped in the ocean and when I try to climb this sand mountain, the sand falls away and I slip back into the water. My dream is mostly trying to get out of the water but I'm trapped, sometimes theirs dangers in the water like sharks and stuff. I have no fear of sharks but in this dream I'm trying to escape from it but cant. Sometimes the shark is about to attack or I'm about to drown, then the dream ends. What's really strange is the few times I escape the water, I'm lured back to it like a magnet or a moth to a flame. I end up back where I don't want to be. What do you think this means?

My wife just can't reverse park. She doesn't get it when I say "straighten up" and she always thinks she is MILES closer to the other cars than she really is. I just don't understand why it's so difficult for her!

Today my mom took me to a child psychologist because she is very convinced that I have adhd or add. So, after like a 1/2 hour, we visit the psycholgist and I was really nervous because I mean seriously, would you feel comfortable pouring your life out to a complete stranger in front of your mom? So, yeah, I couldn't make eye contact with her at all because the more I looked at her, the more nervous and uncomfortable I got. On top of that, here's good ol mom comletely over exaggerating the fact that I've broken things (yeah, so I accidently broke a window playing baseball, who HASN'T?). Lets not forget that along with me being really nervous, my mom trying to pin insanity on me, the psycholgist was sitting there only listening to my mom even though I was backing up everything she over-exaggerated with the flipping TRUTH. I don't know if I'm just going in denial or I really am normal, it doesn't really matter either way I'm not taking any flipping pills. >:(

and replace it with a regular one as I watched through my binoculars.

I've been using those stamps that you can create yourself on-line for a couple of months now; I have the mailman pick up the mail from my house (flag up on the mailbox) and now I see him hanging around a bit when he picks up my mail, and I've seen the same car on my street quite a bit at night.

Do you think he could be stalking me now that he knows what I look like from my picture on my stamps?

What should I do?

In my dream I am alone in my house with my stepfather just hanging out and he says he is going to go visit one of our friends down the street. As soon as he leaves this doll dressed as cupid appears from around the corner with a bow and arrow. It is chasing me around my house and trying to shoot me with its arrow. I run up stairs to my bedroom window and call down to my stepfather but he wont help me. So I'm on my own and have to figure out how to escape. The only solution was to run to an open window in my mother and stepfathers bedroom and jump. As I jump out the window the doll shoots an arrow and before I'm hit I wake up.
In real life, my mother and father are divorced, and my mom is going through a divorce with my step dad. And in my dream my parents are nowhere to be found and my step dad abandons me. Please help

A young child has a great learning capacity. They learn through sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste. We all learn through the same process. We go to school and we learn through books, films, other people we come in contact with. And we learn through lifes experiences. So the question really is: What do we do with all of our knowledge? Are we able to do anything with that knowledge? If so, what? Does it depend on the kind of knowledge we have as to what we do with it? This is something for everyone to think about. Tell me your thoughts and concerns or ideas. Waiting to hear from you.!!

I have to go past a persons desk at work each day who I once got on well with, but who now makes a point of ignoring me by not replying to my greeting ect. I feel as if the person is insulting me in front of other people. Should I say something, or pretend it isnt happening, or what? I am a quiet person and can attract this type of slight more than I would like, and have found in the past it can spread to others who have observed the first slight. How do others deal with this type of issue?

Please answer as I am really trying to help this guy. You know ppl think he is strange and eccentric---(well, he is) and also comes across very mean spirited to some BUT he does not behave that way towards me. He is very kind and caring. I feel certain that he does suffer from OCD personality disorder according to some of the info BUT, I don't know what the difference is and also, I really want to help him.

I also learned that you just never know when you might go and realized it would be easier to just have some kind of preperation even if i am young. How would i go about it?? I dont want to write it out and give it some one and have them think im crazy or soemthing. Are there people who help w/ this type of thing??

My manager who has never liked me and is just a very rude person, was chatting at lunch with another colleague and me and we both replied to the other girl's question together (OK maybe I was a bit after her but I just continued - I am older after all!), and she just fixed me with his long glare, at least 10 seconds. How would YOU react to this?
