I'm writing an article (more like an essay) on children and how we effect the world. I need some information, but I can't find what I need. Warning- this topic may be a bit unnerving, so please don't leave hate comments/answers.

What I'm looking for is a '*blank* out of *blank* children are abused every year' or something. I need some backup information. Anyone who can help me, please do! Thanks.

I cannot direct you to a website for the statistics, but if you call you local Department of Health and Welfare and ask for the Child Abuse Information line and explain what you are after, I am sure someone there could give you the numbers you need, and you would have a "personal interview" citation for your "Works Cited" page. Good luck.

I know that the Canadian Government has done a lot of research into matters that effect the youth population. Have You ever had access to the "XYZ" series of documentaries?
Have You typed "Child Abuse" into the "search" section at the top of the Answers page? Lots of references.

Maybe try your state's social services website, and see if there's information there. Otherwise, call your local social services office, and ask a worker if they know where you can get the information you need. <*)))><
