yes, i think we all do this. it's really funny how the images are never even close when you finally see the person. if people could see the girls on the 900 chatlines i think they would go out of business. years ago when i was in school i worked as a security guard in a office building in Hollywood. on The 6th floor was a phone center where the 900 sex lines were answered. i used to sit in the lobby during shift change and marvel at all of the ugly women who had such erotic sexy voices. one of the top performers up there weighed over 300lbs and had a face only a mother could love but if you closed your eyes while she was speaking, you would swear she was a swimsuit model.

What an excellent question. I had to make calls to a particular vendor of our's for three years or so. Every time I called there, I had to speak with the secretary first. Often, I had to call three or four times a week. Both me and the secretary became familiar with each other, and we'd chat for a moment or two before she transferred my call to the owner. I often imagined her to be blond-ish, maybe thirty five, and probably with a bit of a dumpy-looking figure. Don't ask me why, but I had that image of her in my head. One day, I had to travel the 65 miles to their location and meet with the owner. Of course, I got to meet the secretary with whom I've been talking to all of those years. She turned out to be the hottest young woman I've seen in a long time. She was petite, with dark brown hair, and she had a slender, dancer's body as she was actually a dancer. Shortly afterward, she landed a job in a Broadway play. Looking back, I couldn't have been more wrong about the way she looked.

Yes I do! I work in an office, so I am always on the phone and talk to people regularly but never see them! It is really weird once I finally do come face to face with them, I am usually never right about how I pictured them!

Yeah sure I do, but I get disappointed (by the appearance) when I meet them. Generally they have better voices than faces,

On the personality is all different. If I like the voice I would like the person this is what happens with me.

Yes. Also, I have pictured radio dj's a certain way. One of our local disc jockeys looks nothing like the way I had pictured him.

I try not, but often find myself doing it anyway. When I meet them, I am sometimes disappointed, and sometimes I'm not.
