I post this question for my sister...
I am a mother of 3, 3 month old boy and 2 & 4 year old girls. My husband works midnights all week and can't help me with our new born, so i'm on my own. (I'm tired!!) Anyways, my girls share a room together and they both seem to wake up in the middle of the night everytime I wake up to nurse my son. Either from him crying or sometimes they just wake up to see were i went cause I go downstairs to feed and change him. How do I get them to stay asleep and stay in their beds? Any advice out there?

My friend invited my son and I to the movie Charlottes Web with her and her 3 year old son tomorrow night. My son is only one and a half, and I'm weary of bringing him to his first movie, I'm really not sure what to expect! Since it's a weeknight I don't think there will be many people there, and being a kids movie I'm sure there will be other little ones running around. What were your experiences?

Our 3 year old daughter is deathly afraid of drains we dont know why or how we have never told her she will be sucked down one or anything like that. But due to her fear of drains potty training so far is going on in the living room which for now I dont mind but we will need her to use the toilet and being so afraid to go because it drains. We have touched the bathtub drain and sink drains in front of her empty, full, and while draining to show her its safe but she screams like she is going to die.

His mother is going out of state with her boyfriend for Christmas. He is not allowed to celebrate Christmas. Normally he lasts about 44 hours before he starts asking to go home. This weekend he will be here from 4pm Thursday until 6pm Tuesday. He does not color, watch tv, or do anything else that requires him to be still more than 15 seconds. What can I do that is fun to keep him from crying to go home for 4 days straight?

Keep in mind I also have a 5yo, 4yo, and 8month-old of my own- with the baby I cannot be in the middle of football games and things- and that it cannot be expensive. We do not all fit in the vehicle at once so taking them anywhere is also out of the question.

HELP PLEASE!!!

She mostly acts up when she doesn't get her way. They send her to time out and she screams, takes her clothes off(even her hair pieces), and sometimes uses the bathroom on herself(she been potty trained for almost a year). NONE OF THIS SHE EVEN THINKS OF DOING AT HOME. I know part of the problem is that they cannot spank her there. I hardly ever have to spank her at home cause she's gotten to the point where she knows her boundaries. So I figured if I no longer spanked her at home and just talked to her then their method would work on her but it only back fired on me. She started to treat me like them. On top of that when she had gotten to the point when she started taking of her clothes they questioned me as if it wasn't normal and something had to be going on at home. I do reward her when she is good with stickers and cookies. They moved her with the kids a year older because she was always the leader and seemed to outgrow the ones her age. It seemed to work but now she is back at it

My son is 27 months old and is very frustrating. He doesn't say more than 10 words and when he writes his letters he will scribble over them when you tell him that was a good job. He has been evaluated by speech therapy and they just said he was delayed in expressive speech and advanced in receptive speech. And yet he ignores me all the time. How do I get him to talk more and accept compliments. He is very smart, I just wish he would talk more. I am afraid that people will not see what he can do because he doesn't talk. I have tried with-holding what he wants until he at least makes a sound in order to get it (except for food or essentials) and he just gives up trying and cries. Right now his vocabulary is shrinking because he has stopped saying words he used to. His words include: mom, amma, cat, om (some), ball, book, tad (leapfrog), lay (clay). He can say his alphabet phonetically but not actual letter, he knows his numbers and can read the words he says. Please help.

Since school as started in August, my son has wet his pants about 10 times now. He goes to another school on Mondays and Wednesday mornings until 12:00 then he goes to another 5 days a week in the afternoons. We thought something was going on at the morning preschool but there isnot. So when I take him to the afternoon preschool I make sure he goes to the bathroom before I leave but sometimes that does not work because he will still wet in his pants. Today I went to his class party and I told him I was going to leave to go to his brothers party and asked him if he wanted to go and he said no he would stay. I asked him before I left if he had to go to the bathroom and he said no. When I picked him up from school they had changed his clothes because he wetted in them. I asked him if he likes the afternoon preschool and he says he loves it. He doesn't wet in his pants at home or the morning preschool. So that is why I'm asking somebody to please please give me some advice.

My daughter is 20 months old and fights going to bed. She sleeps w/ me and my husband or rather I lie w/ her in our bed till she falls asleep then I move her into her own room. But the challenge is getting her to sleep. She'll be drifting off to sleep, eyes closing. Then she jump up saying 'no..no.. up.. up'. And we fight all over again. Putting her to bed at night and at nap time takes sometimes an HOUR.
I've been waking her up ealier in the morning hoping that it'll make her more tired for nap time and I've woken her up at nap time earlier too in the hope that she'll fall asleep better at night time. But that doesn't seem to be working... though I've just started doing this. It's only been a couple days....
Any suggestions??
