This sounds like my 2 1/2 year old. I don't think it's ADHD either -- it's more like a need for constant attention and probably she enjoys being stimulated. I'm trying to figure out what to do myself -- but your problem is more urgent since she probably goes to school and needs to get calmer. Like most people, I'm turned off by drugs for kids -- but stuff like chamomile tea and lavender bath bubbles may help. Also, try to limit all sugar-y snacks if you give them at all. Greens also are supposed to naturally calm people down. Maybe try to get her to eat more salad, cucumbers, celery, etc.. And have a place where she can run around like a lunatic for about an hour (like a playground). Maybe this will help put her in a more relaxed state.

I'm really clueless myself at this point, but these are ideas I've been hearing. The only thing I've really done so far is the playground stuff. Good luck :)

That's normal for a child to behave when the parents have not instilled fear in them or made them face consequences for unacceptable behavior. My son is the same exact way, well i have to say WAS the same way. A few good spanks and he has a different attitude. He is almost three, I'm surprised you let your daughter behavior go on for so long. I can't believe you actually want to drug a child that is misbehaved but might otherwise be intelligent, charismatic and a go getter.

I work for a company that makes one of the ADHD medications on the market, one test I have heard about is the caffine test, have you child drink a cup of coffee and see if they can concentrate better, the only true way to diagnose it though is through you doctor.

Bad behavior isn't ADHD and that term is overly used.

You need to evaluate your day with her. Is she doing it because she is lacking true bonding time with you? Or is she overly stimulated with an excessive amount of toys, games, t.v.?

I agree with behavior charts and chore charts but I do not agree with rewarding with toys or objects, Instead rewarding with feelings/actions.

that sounds like it could be something other than ADHD. ADHD is usually not that pronounced in girls, they show it differently. this sounds like basic behavior problems. has anything drastically changed? new kid, new house, new school, new schedule? is her diet and sleep pattern consistent?

I'm sorry but that's not ADHD, that's natural child behavior. Proper discipline can account for this, perhaps you're being too lenient.
