I have 25 month old twins. One talkes very well and is starting to form small 2 word together. The other twins only has a vocabulary of 7-10 words. He just doesn't want "try" to talk or say different words. Is this common in twins?

Don't get me wrong - I'm not complaining! Just curious how common it is, as I've heard kids often get ear infections.

He will go to bed in his own bed, in his own room, but usually by 1:00am he is in bed with us. We just found out we're expecting. So how can I get him to sleep in his own bed all night?

My 23 month old seems to prefer his left hand already... but I thought hand preference was not determined until much later in life.

Today my nearly 2 year old daughter has been taking her nappy off all the time. I have noticed small wet patches on my carpet and wondered what they were and where they were coming from, i checked her nappy and it was hanging of, then later i went to change her nappy and it was off and down one side of her leg, she has been taking them off. Do you think its a sign of wanting to be potty or toilet trained? I have tried potty training her not long ago, she used the potty once but had no luck after that.

My son is going to be 3 in a couple weeks. I can't afford a lot of money for a birthday party for him so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Also.... if anyone knows any websites for kids toys where you can order now, pay later...?
Someone help. I want my little boy to have a good birthday but I am struggling with bills as well, and what money I do have needs to be paid on bills.

I have to prepare them for school admissions and though they are very intelligent with all the activity that a school might ask them to perform, they tend to clam up and not speak when they see a new person. And being twins and always having each other for company, they do not socialise with other kids. I Try taking them to play areas where other kids play, and they just stand on one side and refuse to participate.

The books I read to him seem too difficult for him to read on his own. I looked around but don't really understand all the different reading "levels" and series. I want something easy but not too boring. Any suggestions? Thanks.

My daughter is 31/2 years old and is very advanced for her age, putting her in public school would be insulting her intelligence, does anyone know of any programs in NYC that provides scholarships for children to go to private school?

My daughter is three years old and my family keeps asking when am I going to put her in preschool. I was thinking four is a good age. When did you put your kids in preschool? Did you put them in preschool or straight to kindergarten at five? Some advice parents. I am teaching my daughter letters, colors, and numbers here at home since I am a stay at home mom but is it more benificial to get her into school?

HELP! My three year old is at risk for getting kicked out of preschool. I don't know why she is having such a problem. I think that she is a normal three year old girl. Sometimes I have to get firm with her to listen, but she is by no means a problem child. She just started preschool and the teacher says that she will not listen to her at all, and will not follow direction. She has one more week to get her act together, or she will be asked not to return. My daughter was so excited about starting school. It's all she could talk about. I don't know what the problem is. She attends Sunday school every week and doesn't have a problem there, but there are more kids in her preschool class and it's for a longer time period. HELP!
