Almost all species of snakes give birth to babies direct. These snakes are raptiles and crawl on the ground. Whereas the other species of snakes which have wings, and they can fly just like birds, these snakes give eggs and snakes lay eggs to give birth to their babies snakes.

First off I wonder why this is in the toddler/preschool category. The only thing I can guess is that you have a toddler/preschooler who asked you this question and you are seeking the answer.
Only mammals have babies directly,without laying eggs. Snakes are reptiles and they all lay eggs.

They all produce eggs; it's just that some of the eggs hatch while inside the mama snake, and then the babies come slithering out....

they all lay eggs! None give direct birth, only mammals do that!
