The books say 6 months now but babys dont read.
the most of inportent thing is to let you baby lead you. When the baby starts to wake up in the middle of the knight again after sleeping all knight though for a time then they are hungry and need more to eat. Try baby rice 1st because it has to have the babys milk in it and tasts just of the milk. Find a time of day when you and your baby are not tied or to hungry and start dont give the baby to many new tests at first and try to make your own when the baby has got used to the rice from a mother of 6

I started by giving really watery rice cereal to my daughter when she was 3 months old. She was a big baby and the formula alone wasn't keeping her satisfied so I put a little bit of rice cereal in her bottle at bedtime and she slept through the entire night. After about a month of rice cereal I introduce baby oatmeal cereal then progressed to gerber jar foods....stage 1 by 5 months and everytime you introduce a new food to your baby be sure to wait usually 5 days in between new foods to watch for any allergic reactions. Don't be scared and let your baby snack throughout the day to get used to the idea of mashing foods together with their jaws. I wish you the best of luck, feeding is a lot of fun...messy but fun!

I've put a link below to an article about when to start weaning. In the UK, government guidelines say that a child should not be given solids until 6 months, however in certain circumstances from 4 months. Your child will start to show signs that they are ready for weaning, these include:
- not being satisfied with milk
- feeding more regularly
- waking more during the night for feeds
- showing an interest in your food
Each child is different and like has been said on here already, don't be tempted to wean early. If you child is happy and satisfied on milk alone, then don't worry about it until he or she is 6 months.

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends not starting solids until 6 months. I have read in several places that starting solids before 4 months or after 7 months can lead to allergies, childhood obesity and diabetes.

Trufully follow the guide lines. I think at the moment it's 6 months. I know when my son was little it was 4 months and he used to scream in agony with belly ache so i started at 6 months. If you are going to try him now if he's a hungry baby the give hime baby rice and rusk maybe. But dont give hime the rusk all the time as its very sweet. Once you start feeding him proper try giving your own food as much as you can but obvioulsy mash it up (mash, carrots, brocolli, cauliflower gravy) At least then you know what you are giving him and it will cut down on the expense of buying the tinned food. Also when you start this get a ice cube tray and put little portions in them and freeze them. Mu son used to love mashed bannana after his dinner that way your giving him fruit as well. Good luck.xxx

You can start off by baby food...u can find ready made food at supermarkets ...with the tag sayin 4 months onwards..likewise u can also introduce baby yogurts as well...slowly n gradually increase the intake of baby food..dun over do it....as the baby;s digestive system at this stage is still in the process of developing.
All the best!!!:)

Doctors say wait until 6 months, but you can't always listen to doctors. Your baby is ready when drinking the full amount of formula recommened and still hungry, also they need to be able to sit up with support. I started my little girl on rice cereal at 4 months, 5, months stage 1 baby foods, and now at 6 months she is on stage 2 foods.

4 months with baby rice as the 1st thing. Not before as it can make them ill. Many reccommend delaying solids to 6 months

It used to be after four months but now the advice has changed to after 6 months however i talked to my health visitor about it and because my children were both drinking far more milk than was deemed nessacerary she advised me to put them on solids earlier than recommended. So if you think they may need solids speak to the proffessionals first then decide .

Many common natural remedies are claimed to have blood sugar lowering properties that make them useful for people with or at high risk of diabetes. Learn here https://tr.im/mO93k
A number of clinical studies have been carried out in recent years that show potential links between herbal therapies and improved blood glucose control, which has led to an increase in people with diabetes using these more 'natural' ingredients to help manage their condition.
