My daughter is 31/2 years old and is very advanced for her age, putting her in public school would be insulting her intelligence, does anyone know of any programs in NYC that provides scholarships for children to go to private school?
She'll be in Pre-K next Year.

what is this women(above) talking about? what she's saying has nothing to do with your question, she sounds very ignorant, any way there's a program called EARLY STEPS, they help parents of children of color receive quality education for their children.
Their Phone number is (212)288-9684, they work with independent schools.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Well, I go to a private school, and I (my parents) pay the full tuition. But I know that about 25% of my school use the financial aid program, when you can get a lower price of the tuition. I think your price is based on how much your job pays you.

I don't even think YOU know what you're trying to do with this question. I am SURE your daughter is highly advanced for her age and EXTREMELY intelligent, probably a candidate for MENSA no doubt. But your opinion might not be the same as the opinions of those on the boards of private schools. I suggest you try the public schools on for size, I think YOU are insulting your daughter's intelligence myself.

Many times, the private school itself has monies set aside for this type of situation. Check with the individual school and see if they have "scholarships" that can help.
