My son is going to be 3 in a couple weeks. I can't afford a lot of money for a birthday party for him so I was wondering if anyone had any ideas. Also.... if anyone knows any websites for kids toys where you can order now, pay later...?
Someone help. I want my little boy to have a good birthday but I am struggling with bills as well, and what money I do have needs to be paid on bills.

At 3 years old, you don't need to spend a lot of money for your child and his friends to have a lot of fun. And really, all you would need is a cake to sing "happy birthday". I've done a painting party, where all I purchased was the cheap water color paints and a pad of paper. The whole thing cost me $10 for everything and the kids had a ball. Try the Oriental Trading web site. They have TONS of stuff for very inexpensive. It really isn't until kids get older that they want STUFF at their party so you should be able to come up with cheap alternatives. Good Luck

Sorry to hear that. :( I know it sucks.
Try a Lay-Away at WalMart, plus they have a ton of clearance items on toys right now (they are looking to clean out for the Christmas Rush Toys)

As for the party....make his cake. Invite family and friends over the house. Just have simple fun games like Hot Potato, make coloring pages of your sons fave thing (say it's Blue Clues, go online and find color pages and print them off for all the kids to color)
Skip the goodie bags, people understand! :)

Your son will still have a blast! Good luck!

One of the greatest things we did was have all the kids bring their bathing suits and had them run around in the hose. It was free and the kids loved it. Of course it does require a yard. If you don't have one just come up with some simple games for the kids. at that age all they really need is other kids and they'll have a blast.

Just use the old docoration for Christmas, redesign them with your kids, to decorate the house. Buy a cake and some food to celebrate can already. What matters is the kids are having fun... Hope this helps you..

Go to the Dollar Store and get him several small and cheap things that you think he'd love. He's only three. He'll be THRILLED with that. Also, make homemade cupcakes with him instead of an expensive store-bought cake. He'll enjoy helping you make and decorate them.

i agree with Cara, play kiddy games and may be just a few sandwiches, just make the best of what you already have around you. it doesn't have a big and expensive. or may just have a sleep over for a friend or 2. (they say its the thought that counts) good luck I'm sure it will a good day day him xx
