I realize anal temprature is most accurate...do I add one or two degrees? Her temp is 102.5 (I'm nervous enuf to call dr.) but what do I tell him her temp is?? She will be two in a few weeks.

Rectal you subtract one degree.
Underarm you add one degree.

BTW.....
102.5 (so 101.5 adjusted) is not a very high temperature for a 2 year old. Personally, I wouldn't even medicate for that unless the child was uncomfortable.

102 is not that bad. Just give her infant tylenol, and give him lots of water, and/or diluted juice. If the fever has continued high for 2-3 days, take her in to check for infections.

Moma2mingbu is right. What are you giving her to lower the temp.? Motrin works well in lowering high temps. Hope she feels better...

Tell the doctor the tempature you got from the butt and he is educated enough to figure out the rest.

dont panic...just use a baby motrin...it always works the best. help her relax and sleep. rest will help
