Everyone will say no but i will say yes if it is the only thing taht is going to make the little guy happy. I suffer from strep throat every fall....lucky me....and I know that there are very litlle things that I can actually get down. I happen to eat a lot of ice cream when I get it. The cold feels great. My little one always wnats milk when she is sick. It is a comfort thing for her. If it is in limited qualntity it is not going to do her as much harm as people may think. If you are really concerned about it though ask your Dr.
But form my experience any comfort is good comfort when you get strep. And "mucus" has never been an issue for me when I have had strep throat. It's the sore throat and inability to swallow.

Not a good idea. Milk products help with the production of mucus. We all know that when you're sick mucus is a very bad thing! Try to give him plenty of vegetables, juice, and especially oranges or other fruits high in vitamin C. He will feel better and get over it quicker if you avoid them at least until he gets better.
(P.S. If you want to give him dairy products because you think there are many vitamins in them, think of where the cow got the nutrients to start with! Milk also doesn't digest very well)

Don't use any dairy products it causes mucus buildup and also with the medication you use it might upset his tummy... I'd stick with water, juice, sports drinks... keep him hydrated and give him soft foods .... soup, mashed potatoes, hard food will make his throat hurt! Hope he feels better!

Definitely not! The calcium in dairy products can "lock up" with the medicines he is taking and make them useless.

I wouldn't- it could irritate the throat (more mucus) & his stomach.
