my little boy has a real problem,he tells lies.He is nine years old and always denies any wrong doing, even if someone see's him doing it! for example yesterday he squirted a whole carton of juice into someones locker at school, several children saw him do it.. his response..just like Shaggy..it wasn't me.He even says that the other children weren't there so they could't have seen him.He has lied to me,his teacher, his headteacher.Worse he has blamed another innocent boy.

because there is no video footage or forensics I can't "prove" that he did it,I just believe the overwhelmimg evidence that the other kids have told me.

In the past I have always wanted to believe him, even falling out with other parents by taking his side.I feel that he is abusing my belief in him and learning a very bad attitude

What should I do to help him understand that what he is doing is wrong because noone will trust him ...ever!

Boyfriend sons are 16 and 15.

The boys are in trouble all the time, at school, at home, they are destructive, smoking pot, and constently kicked out of school.

I dont believe in spanking.
I have never spanked my kids 18 and 16, they have never been in trouble.

My boyfriend has not spanked his kids since we have been together over a year and the trouble is escallating!!

Any parents who co sleep with thier children
have problems later on down the road getting thier kids to sleep in thier own bed

I hear some stories how breastfeeding moms sleep with thier children and later on get them to thier own bed once theyre not breastfeeding anymore, but i hear others that cant get thier child out of thier bed and theyre like 7!

I dont need to hear about rolling over and safety
i know all that, thats not what im asking.

Im asking what is the difference on getting a child used to thier own bed, is it having the child sleep in thier own bed during naps during the day, putting the child back in thier own bed after theyve falling alseep, doing this at a certain age etc.

Just wondering ♥

My wife has been begging me to get my 3 year old daughters ears pierced. She respects me and hasn't done it yet (though she tricked me one day with magnetized earings!). I'm very reluctant about it, for one I don't like the look, she's a little girl, there will be a time when she wears real jewelry and makeup, but it's not right now. I'm thinking this should be done as more of a "coming of age" thing.

Hi, I'm a 16 y/o female and I want to have a child. My boyfriend doesn't because he wants to become a singer and he thinks it would get in the way. Should I stay with him and help support him or should I move on. Now remember I love my bf but he says he doesn't want a child now but he never wears a condom. Should I make him start wearing one?

I sucked my thumb as a child and found it to be very comforting in stressful times and when I was going to sleep. There are so many parents out there that don't think you should let your children suck their thumbs or pacifiers. I am just wondering if I should encourage my children if they like to suck their thumb.

if i came home with a D on my spanish oral exam. i am a straight A student in everything and taking a college class in Spanish. i have a 4.48 GPA. the spanish class i'm taking i've gotten A's straight through on the quizzes and compositions. but the teacher never had us try to speak it until the end when all of a sudden he makes us "role play" in spanish. i got a 60. since it was 10% of our grade, i still might get an A in the class, but i'm expecting a B. i wasn't all upset about it, just glad that it was over. my mom was all "it's ok hunny, you had no experience speaking it, etc." on the phone and was sympathetic like she thought i thought it was the end of the world for me. but my friends said if they got a D, they would have been punished for it. if i was your kid, would you punish me?

like less than 'A', so that it wil encourage them to get high grades all the time? The punishment does not have to be spanking, but could be even grounding or taking away privileges. Don't you agree?

yesterday, my daughter was sent home from kindergarten because she was coughing. she had no fever or anything like that. she is at the end of a cold, the kind that hangs around forever!! she is otherwise fine.
my question is, would you send your kid back to school the next day? or should she be kept home? i dont want them to think i am sending her to school sick on purpose. i just dont think she is sick enough to miss so much school. i will probably keep her home though.
any thoughts? she is my first in school, so i am new to this :)

I'm doing a research paper in my college english class about why vaccinations are bad/harmful- and I want to get some answeres from parents who believe in vaccination. thanks in advance.

1. Why do you choose to vaccinate?
2. Have you always been for vaccinations?
3. If you haven't- what changed your mind?
4. Do you get a lot of 'flack' from other parents/doctors about your decision?
5. What is your response to them?
6. Do you 'spread the word' about your views or do you keep quiet?
7. What is your opinion of parents who choose to NOT vaccinate their children?
8. any other comments/stories etc... you can add them here.

I know a few parents who hardly buy their kids any toys. I know some people don't have too much money, but if you can't afford to buy your children what they ask for, why even bother having them?
My daughter gets something every time we go to the store, I always make sure I have about $50 to get her what she wants.
Why are some parents so stingy?

I live in a building and the walls where I live are unfortunately very thin. My neighbors consist of a husband a wife they have 2 kids a 24 year old and an 8 year old little girl. The wife is an alcoholic and one day when i was leaving my apartment she came up to me all drunk and talking to me about her husband she said that her daughter moved out at the age of 16 because her husband was molesting her now i don't know if she was lying because she was drunk and wasn't normal, but there was this other time I heard her talking on the phone with someone and saying that her husband is a pedofile. I'm afraid because they have an 8 year old daughter and i fear for her safety. I want to call social services, but I don't know if I should because this women might be lying she's a psychopath and i wonder why she hasn't done anything about it if it was true. I don't want to call and make any kind of faulse accusations. I need help with this. What should I do? What would you do?

I know this is going to sound 'woerd' or even 'suspicious' but I have tried almost everything else. My middle daughter (15) have started dating, and I have no problem with that as long as they meet in the Mall or burgerbar(or in our house when we are at home), but he is almost 18 years old. He is a nice boy, but I am so worried that 'something' could happen, so I have said that she can't meet him anymore. Now, she is not your typical rebel, and she is doing well at school, but I do NOT want to get a phonecall from the school nurse telling me she is pregnant. We have had open discussions about almost everything, and she is a very intelligent teenager, but she refuse to exept that she can't see him. I am ready to resort to almost anything to stop her getting pregnant, and I would even spank her, if I know that would stop her from seeing him. I just don't know what to do...

People in India and China either kill their daughters in the womb or soon after they are born since they are too fixated on male child. Many other who don’t kill, keep having more and more children till they get a male child and then the daughters grow up as unwanted and neglected children. I know a dirty call… but what is worse of the two???

My kids say such funny things and my nieces and nephew are funny, too.

I have to say the two recent ones that took the cake were:
I was explaining to my 11 year old where babies come from and how they are made. I used all the correct terminology, etc. My 6 year old was listening in and as I was explaining intercourse, I said, "That's called 'sex.'" My 6 year old looked ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED and says to me in this horrified voice, "Mommy!? You SEXED Daddy??" Lol.

My mom was telling my 11 year old nephew that he needs to pick up after himself because he's not a little kid anymore, he's a man. So he says, totally seriously, "Yes, but I'm really in touch with my inner child and that inner child is only 11." Lol.

What are some things your kids say?

I live close to a highschool, and I go for my morning walk at about 9:30 am. I go down this small walking ally way, just 2 minutes away from the highschool. So anyways, while I go out, threw this ally, I have been seeing these 2 kids, about 14, 15 years old smoking weed and blazing with a pipe, almost every day at 9:30.

One of them looks mexican, the other looks like american or canadian. I see them almost every day at the same place. I walk past them, they just look at me for a second and keep blazing. They are skipping school, and smoking weed. How should I go about this?

I need some info, please.

My bf's son pouts when he doesn't get his way over EVERYthing now, tells us he's "angry at us" when we correct his behavior, or goes and makes a pouty face ands stands with his chin on his hands at a table.

Is this typical? What's the best way to handle it? Often we ignore it or tell him that he can't have his way or act a certain way all the time and take something away or something, but is there a better way to be dealing with this?
