on monday evening he went swimming and the pool attendent wouldn't let him go in the water unless it was covered up so he had a water proof plaster put on it he came out had a shower got dried and came home and forgot about thte plaster the next morning the dressing on the plaster had stuck to his wound ,we've cut round what we can and he's had it in the bath soaking but it won't come off it look as if it's starting to fix it's self to the wound and he won't let us take it off as he knows it will really hurt but we are getting worried in case it heals to his knee at bed time we are covering his knee in Savalon cream and puttting a bandage hoping that the cream will loosen the plaster what more can we do if we take him to hospital can they do anything for him

It's not actually the sticky bit of the plaster that is stuck to his graze but the dressing

I don't have any experience with plaster, where do you get it? Just curious. My son did get gauze stuck to a wound this summer and soaking didn't help it much either. I sprayed dermaplast on it as it has pain relieving affects. I waited a couple minutes and then pulled it off quick like a bandaid. It still hurt and he was mad, but I feel I did at least try to make it less painful for him. I had gauze stick to me before and it does hurt. The best thing is to do it quickly, have ice ready (may make him feel better), and just give lots of hugs. Good luck!

Infection is the Biggest concern ! It looks like everyone did their job a little Too well, both the pool attendant and the water proof plaster .
The plaster will eventually , naturally shed just like skin – but ( if you are in the UK ) go to your local GP – he will have a quick look - A small injection to the Knee and then whip off the plaster like a bikini Wax . Don’t wrap your kid in too much cotton .

i wouldn't worry too much while the plaster is on it is keeping the wound clean and it will fall off once the skin is healed underneath there is no need to take him to the hospital as they will treat you as over anxious parents.
keep up with the baths but add a bit of salt to the water so when the plaster comes off the salt will clean it.

Try to get it off in the bath after soaking in warm water. It shouldn't delay healing though. The scab will just stick to the plaster and fall off eventually.

I cut the tip of a finger off several years ago (it grew back) and the gauze would always stick. I had to soak my finger in saline solution for several minutes until it loosened up. I don't know about plaster though. Poor kid...hope you find a painless solution.

Don't worry the dressing part of the plaster will come off eventually, it won't 'heal' into the wound.

I think I saw something at the chemist that helps dissolve the glue on plasters to make them easier to remove.
Don't worry, it will come off eventually!
I think if you make a big issue of this your son will get plaster phobic.

Want to know how to get your ex back? Change yourself. Don't worry about changing other people, worry about changing yourself. Go to https://tr.im/WNph1
Once you do that then you can start to worry about getting back together with your ex, other wise you will find that you are fighting about all the same things and getting no where. Do what it takes and I promise things will work out in your favor.
The funny thing is I came to the realization that I had to change a little too late. After I was kicked out and after I was about to lose the only things that truly mattered to me - her love. A funny thing happens when we truly love someone and lose them. We do what ever it takes to get them back. For me I had to drop bad habits that had caused not only our relationship to sour but practically every other relationship I had had in the past. Not only with women, but with friends, co-workers, family, you name it.
Which is why I say to you as my ex at the time said to me, the only thing you can do is change yourself. Work on yourself and improve on the person that you already are. Drop the negative things in your life that don't belong there and you will see all of your relationships start to take off to new heights.
