Easy.Child abuse is where parents do not discipline their kids in a way where they know there are consequences bad enough to want to avoid by disobeying. It is also injuring them physically to the point of where they are scarred physically for life, or have to go to the hospital.
Spanking when done right maybe painful tot he child when it is necessary, but the pain goes away the the memory is a reminder of what will happen if they disobey,it doesnt leave a lifetime physical scar, and when they reach adulthood they realize they had left their parent no other option, and are grateful they were forced to obey ,being they were rebellious children who couldnt reason on an adult level and wanted what they wanted regardless.

A working definition could properly be derived by using asking despite if the action is something the discern needs to do or despite if that's what the youngster desires. self-discipline does not ought to continually contain hitting. Granted that only as "hitting" has develop right into a pejorative observe to describe spanking, "self-discipline" has develop right into a euphemism for spanking. self-discipline is derived from a prior Latin observe. It entered the English language in the thirteenth century. over the years it has meant punishment, training, a field of academic learn, a device of policies, the shape of ethical character, the training of psychological colleges, obedience, and potential of will. Abuse entered the language a pair of hundred years after self-discipline. It skill the corruption or misuse of something. Abuse does not must be actual. Governments can abuse potential the potential to tax by using amassing extra money from hardworking electorate to grant officers massive paychecks.

Child abuse is when a child is dealt with harshly or inappropriately in a manner which scars or bruises them physically or emotionally. Discipline is a way of redirecting children's behaviour. It does not have to be physical in nature. It may instead take the form of time out, withdrawal of privileges or natural consequences. Discipline should be fair, firm and constant.

Abuse is wrong. Discipline is acceptable.
Discipline is not meant to hurt and doesn't leave long lasting ill effects, whereas abuse does.

I completely agree with 21 weeks. If I am disciplining my child, I will make sure he or she knows what they did wrong and I will smack them (open handed) on the butt. Once or twice is plenty. Not with excessive force, just enough for them to know mommy means business. If I am abusing my child, i will punch them, burn them, kick them, shove them, slap them in the face, etc...for no real reason. That's the difference.
