Hey I just saw the commercial and I think is kind of creepy. I would've chosen chefs or something, but moms?

I personally feel it is wrong. Most commercials are these days. They are veering twards sex and violence to sell everything from Burger King, Jewelry, Red Bull (they are really bad-funny for adults but it's very wrong for any kid to see), and even alcohol in the daytime. I only let my kids watch things like the Disney channel because of it.

This round of "King" commercials is the best of the bunch. BK makes better sandwhiches than mothers can, so they lash out at him and attempt to kill him. Yes, it's a bit extreme...one time it just hit me: those moms are actually trying to KILL A GUY! IN A COMMERCIAL! But still, it's funny!

The fact that it's MOMS doing it (and not chefs) is supposed to harken back to the belief that "homemade is always better than what you can find in the streets," but this is showing that you CAN get good food away from home (and that mothers AREN'T necessarily the world's best cooks); these mothers understand what a threat the BK King is to their hegemony, and they respond in that fierce way that mothers have but usually hide.

Can't wait for the drive-by attempt...

dont be one of those moms that read into every single thing about an dumb things like that. all of those burger king commercials scare me cuz there's a dude with a huge smiling head and tights. that commercial wont traumatize your kids or make them plan on blowing up a burger king as a career. chill.

Oh satisfied day! i'm so satisfied that somebody else sees how disgusting it incredibly is. Burger King is the final place i could go in any case. yet any discern that doesn't see how incorrect it incredibly is needs to check their standards. Over reacting? i do no longer see how.

Kids often don't even pay attention to what the commercial is saying, much less understand what they are saying. Its not as straight-forward to kids as it is to us, and its not like your kids are going to go around killing people because they think its ok since the commercial was about killing the bk man.

No different than the message oxygen and lifetime and the rest of television networks send to everyone about husbands and fathers. The bk commercial is just a test to see how far they can actually go.

i like the commercials. kids arnt so influenced that they are going to attempt to kill the king. i think people act too much like their children are parrots. it's just a joke. kids can understand that. if it was something that they saw everyday all day, then maybe that would be different (like the way society portrays women), but that's not the case, plus its a joke and an obvious joke. however, if it wasnt portrayed as a joke then maybe that would be different. children can think, they are not parrots.

It will be ok, it's just a commercial. What is wrong with the commercial is that anyone would compare BK food to moms cooking.

Its a commercial. Its for laughs and giggles, not for people to get all politically correct. Good lord
