To drive a car you have to provide "Proof of financial responsibility" It is my belief that to have children, a woman or a couple should have to provide similar proof of financial resposibility.I often hear of couples, but usually single mothers complaining that they can't afford the basic needs and that our tax $$ should pay for them. What do you think?

i personally am against it due to my religious beliefs. however i naturally believe it should all be planned out to prevent any damage or problems.

My son is 10 months old and I am already wondering what type of parent I will be when he hits his Teens. I don't want to be one of those mothers who becomes his best friend. I want to be able to give him a structured and semi strict enviroment, while still being his friend and maintaining a good relationship with him.
Has anyone ever been able to attain this middle ground of parenting? And if so can you please give me some advice!

I think of kids/no kids scenario in my marriege very often. I don't think NOT having kids would be problem/disaster. Everybody I know is just nagging me and asking. When? Don't you want to have children? (im married 8 years). They go on my nerves, it feels like I need to have a child because its in some book of life or something. Truth? I don't want any. I am happy, I feel complete and just enjoying life as it is. Do I have to have a child otherwise my life is worth less? Is it my mission on this earth? I hate people sticking their noses into my businees and everytime my stomach is bloated after good food they have stupid questions. How pathetic.

I have two schools to choose from one which has good results in sats and inspection but has terrible facilities building and general learning environment, but all the local kids and kids from street would go to and the other only 5mins drive away but no kids from his immediate surroundings would go to but this school has again good sats results and inspection report but wonderful facitities in comparison to the other school. Also it is bright and stimulation! My decision is which is best for my child, an excellent learning environment or a place to form friendships with children from his street/ estate?

I am pregnant and my boobs have changed. They have gone up a cup size, the nipples are larger and they are sagging terribly! If this is permanent I need to mentally prepare myself... I will appreciate your honesty.

My daughter is four years old and she will be getting a sibling next year. We will be telling her in a few weeks time, but a worry for me is that she may ask how it will get out of my belly... or how it got in! Help! If she asks, what should I say? I am just wondering how much one would do for their sister or brother or family relative who couldn't have a child.
Both my husband and I are childless and my SIL is unhappilly pg
with her fifth?
She knows of our pain, it would be lovely if she allowed us to adopt her son/daughter.
Would you do this for a relative?
I am curious as to what others would do. thanks.

I view my future step son as a real person, and a good one at that, who tries very hard for people to like him. And he's a smart kid. I tell him that I think that. I also let him know I care about him. I try to enforce his father's (My fiance's) rules. If he does something bad, I go with what his father says is the correct way to handle it. And his father has the final word on everything. If I don't feel the punishment is right, then I bring it up with him and not our son. I also try very hard to remember to support his son, and make him feel like he can do right. Am I doing this okay so far?

I took my 5 weeks old daughter for Hept. B shot today but doctor told me to wait when she's two months. She will mix all immunization shots into 1 shot, which about 3 shots. Hept.B and the other two. Have you ever heard about this?

I had a baby 13 months ago and I breastfed for a year and i was 130 before baby and I clocked out at 217 at delivery (he was 9 # 11oz by the way and was 22 " long) and I have only been able to get down to 180 now. I look like someone let the air out of a tire or balloon or something, I watch what I eat, I have walked and exercised as much as a mom of three that works 40+ hrs a week can. I am so desperate I have even been looking into weight loss pills. I need help!! Any suggestions?? I need to lose this weight fast I am always tired and my self image sucks. I get asked daily if I am pregnant and I can't take it anymore. I will take any and all suggestions...PLEASE AND THANK YOU!!
