We had a miscarriage early on, and fear for our disappointment should it happen again, but moreover, we waited until we were in our mid-30's to even get married for the first time, let alone have kids. We love the idea that our life is our own... that we can travel at will when we have the chance... that if we are off together we never need consult a babysitter to have "our" time. It terrifies me that, even should I have a child tomorrow, that I would be in my 50's with a kid in junior high school! Heck, my parents are in their late 50's, early 60's now, and I'm nearing 40. I love my ADULT relationship with my own parents... I'm afraid I wouldn't make it to that point with my own kids. I love the idea of a child, but the reality is, I don't know if realistically- even though people do have kids every day at my age- if it is something that my wonderful, fun hubby and I should really do. Financially, I suppose we'd be fine, but are kids REALLY worth it? Should we have at least 1?

I don't know what to do. I realize I'm a dad, but I'm not ready to be a dad. I don't make enought money and live with a roommate. The child is 3 months old and lives with her mother and fortunately she is providing everything and has a good stable job and wonderful family. I'm 28. The mother is filing for cs and sole custody and granting me visitation even though i don't want it. I live in California and they won't let me give up my rights unless she gets married. This has destroyed my family and my sister loves the baby. I have prove that the girl is harassing me...can I say she is and do i have to pay anything?

When I was 21 I had to give my second child up for adoption because I was already a single mother of one working two jobs living on my own and paying my own bills ( no state help) The father decided he didn't want to be a father anymore, which is fine I know I did the right thing and I don't regret it because his family is awesome. I am now married had a baby now two, got fixed after her birth. I want to adopt but my feelings are mixed, I want to be able to give a life a second chance but I don't want a baby I want a child who is one or older. I guess my question is I am worried that when my son who was adopted if he ever wishes to contact me. What he might think of me having more children. I am confused. If anyone can tell me what my problem is please tell me because I can't figure it out. I don't know if I am scared and want to save a life for him or did I really go wrong with putting him up for adoption.

Im not foreign I am a single soon to be mom. I dont know how I will be able to work and take care of my baby when she is born. I live with family and need to get up on my feet, and the father is not in the picture he is not someone I would want my baby to be around and I am scared if I try to get child support if that means he will get rights to see the baby. Anyways I was just curious as to what some of the requirments were to get on welfare so if anyone has any answers they would help out a lot. thanks

Its been 2 years since I have had a friend apart from my sister in law or hubby. I'm a stay at home mom of a 17 month old and I am pretty busy but I would like to make some friends who have kids my sons age. I'm really shy and I'm nervous about going out to meet new people because its been so long. My husband tries to get me to be friends with his friends wives but none of them have kids and they still drink and stuff. I'm scared to meet new people because I don't know what I would talk about apart from my son. I don't go out all that much. I'd really like to go out sometimes and do stuff with a friend my own age who has kids. Any suggestions?

It's just preschool but I wil cry, did you?
My son starts pre school on Tuesday and we did the meet and greet tonight. I already wanted to cry watching him in that classroom. I have so many concerns and worries cause he has autism( mild ) . We spoke to the teacher and director about the situation and they are just great and his therapist will go when needed to help him in the classroom.
I know On Tuesday morning when I take him the first time I will cry but at least my daughter who is 17 months old will finally get alone time with mommy!
Did you cry the first day your child went to pre school?

So tomorrow I find out if I am actually pregnant. I told my ex when my period was late and I began to feel sick all the time he said "oh thats sad what do you want me to do about it?" I was just wondering if I should let him know what the DR. says. I mean he told me flat out he didnt care and that he wasnt coming back, but should that stop me from telling him anyway?

I'm not a dog, there isn't a sign on my stomach that says, "pat me", or "rub me", yet I have a few relatives who seem to think that's what they need to do everytime they see me. It's a pet peeve of mine and I was hoping others have had to deal with this and can give me some good suggestions on how to nicely tell them to stop. I don't want to hurt their feelings because I know they're doing it because they think a pregnant tummy is cute; but it's soo irritating! Thanks. =)

he claims that reincarnation works in reverse in relation to humans' perception of time, the science of his generation has figured out how to manipulate this, and he is the reincarnated consciousness of a scientist from the year 2036 who sent himself to our time in order to dispense the knowledge that humanity will need in order to survive certain events.

needless to say, this is odd stuff to hear come out of the mouth of an 8 year old, and i wouldn't normally consider such musings, but he displays a knowledge of advanced physics and quantum mechanics that doesn't seem normal for a child so young, and he's never been interested in Sci Fi movies or books.

should i A)tell he's lying, and not to say such things (in order to avoid ridicule, and possible institutionalization)
B)make him prove it to me
C)believe him, and try to help him avoid the extermination of human kind
or D)have him write it all down, and cash in, Phillip K Dick style?

everything went well and i had minimal bleeding with no cramps so the DR said I was a very lucky one. i had my check up 2 weeks later, DR said there was no infection, everything was fine
i finally got a regular period last week on 8/21 and it bled regularly for about 4 days then turned light brown and spotty for a bit. It's been 10 days and sometimes when i whipe my vagina its very light brown (hardly even there).. but only sometimes .. Is that normal? Also, is it possible to get pregnant right now if I were to have unprotected sex (this is a hypothetical question guys) even though when I whipe its a tiny bit brown discharge sometimes? so is it still possible to get pregnant.
Before you people go ASSUMING as you did previously, I am not planning to get pregnant again I havent had sex since the abortion I am just curious of the chances. I actually try to have my friends obtain abstinence so they dont make the mistake i did so dont just assume before u know the facts plz answer thnx!
