I've just read a report where a mother has been denied custody of her 6 yr old child because she smoked 20 a day(in the US). do you agree with this decision? do you think that she smoked cigarettes made her a bad mother
nb. the decision was taken after she quit.

Okay seriously I am going to scream!!! or kill them..lol. My mother in-law is the worst. She is always telling me what she is going to do when the baby gets here and when she is going to take it and so forth. Im like Umm no I dont think so that will be up to me and my husband. She has even went as far as saying she is going to make up a calander of what times she wants the baby! and that she will be the first to hold him, even befor me and Josh! Not happening! I have talked to my husband about his and He personally has talked to them cause he feels they are taking it to far as well and that didnt even stop it. I told her that the baby can visit and she can visit but for the first couple of months the baby wont be sleeping over at either set of grandparents house, simply because its my New baby and I want to spend time with him. Plus they are really old about 70 and Im afraid they wont wake up if the baby is crying or needs something. Am I wrong to say that they are pushing it?

I work for a company that employs 40 employees. I know that the law is different with less than 50 employees. Can someone help explain how does State disability work? Thank you.

My husband had been having a 3 month affair with a co-worker. After not talking for a few weeks we reconciled and I told him that I would give him a second chance...Well, two weeks later he cheated on me with the same woman...so I told him it was over and left.

The thing is that I just found out that I am pregnant. I know that God's word teaches against abortion...but I don't know if I want to deal with this man (plus the other woman may be pregnant). A part of me wants to keep the baby but on the other side I do not want all of the drama. I know if I keep the baby he will want to try to work our marriage out...but I know that if I try to work things out with him he will probably get back with that woman again.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What did you choose?

I am appreciative of any advice...I am very confused.

I am curious if it's possible to get pregnant if your body is messed up from being on medications. I have had surgery and x-rays galore over the last 4 months and the last 2 months (sept/oct) I have not had a period (on percicept for pain) and have been told that everything can mess up your body and it can prevent or at least delay menstruation. I was wondering, if this is the case, if it is possible to get pregnant and if it is, how would I go about finding out if I am pregnant if my period doesn't show up again for another month??? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I am 39 weeks pregnant. I was wondering how many moms didnt dilate until they went into labor? I am fully effaced and soft but the doc. said no luck on dilating. He said that most first time moms dont dilate at all until they start labor, but I have never heard that before. Dont get me wrong I dont want to go into labor until my due date (because its Oct. 30th and I think thats cool) but I was just wondering who didnt dilate at all or just a tiny bit before labor. Also this energy burst thing...yeah I havent experienced it! lol. Well thanks for your help!

I think I do a pretty good job - I'm like what I think most people are like - hurried too much sometimes, too busy to do the things that kids want to do - but I know that my 4-year and 18 month-old daughters adore me.

But what about when they're older? What do YOU do today to ensure the relationship in the future that will be based on open and honest communication?

I'm a mother, but the gender doesn't matter.

Father Forgets

Listen, son; I am saying this as you lie asleep, one little paw crumpled under your cheek and the blond curls stickily wet on your damp forehead. I have stolen into your room alone. Just a few minutes ago, as I sat reading my paper in the library, a stifling wave of remorse swept over me. Guiltily I came to your bedside.

There are things I was thinking, son: I had been cross to you. I scolded you as you were dressing for school because you gave your face merely a dab with a twoel. I took you to task for not cleaning your shoes. I called out angrily when you threw some of your things on the floor.

At breakfast I found fault, too. You spilled things. You gulped down your food. You put your elbows on the table. You spread butter too thick on your bread.

I had my son at age 20 and now I'm ready for my next and last child. My boyfriend also had a son we both would like to have one together but he wants to wait until we have full custudy of his son and i would like to try now. he says that it wouldn't be fair to his son not to go through the prgnancy and feel left out. I see nothing been done to even try and gey full custody so i'm trying behind his back to get pregnant.

I live in Florida, and about 8 months out of the year it's almost unbearably hot. I'm born and raised here and yet I've never acclimated to the heat and humidity.

But as I took my 4 year old to school this morning, I was in a better mood than I've been in for months! It was 49 degrees. I had a sweatshirt and jeans on and the cool whip of the wind invigorated me no end - even though both girls had a restless night's sleep (thank you cold and flu season).

I watched my oldest head off to join her class. She was dressed in her usual blue polo and khaki bottoms - but today she wore a white long-sleeved collared shirt underneath the shirt and long pants instead of shorts. I've never seen her in this uniform before - and it struck me that another season has changed. Another first is gone.

Isn't it funny the firsts you can find with your children?

(More to come) - if you don't like long questions, move along then.

Hi! Am pretty regular with periods. Every 24-28 days. Last month, September was pretty normal. This month however, I wasn't expecting it until the later part of this week but instead started to spot on Sunday. So Sunday and Monday there have just been a few spots. No period, not much cramping. What is going on? I am not on the pill and haven't been in several months. While not trying for a baby, it certainly would be welcomed. In a good relationship. Any thoughts?

I am wondering if you all that are against abortion would have abortion if:

1.You were raped
2.If your health/life was in danger of carrying the baby
3.If something terrible were wrong with the baby and would live a horrible life and have to suffer a terrible death

Answer honestly
