How does CA State Disability work for Pregnant women?

I work for a company that employs 40 employees. I know that the law is different with less than 50 employees. Can someone help explain how does State disability work? Thank you.

You will get 6 weeks for a vaginal birth, and 8 weeks for a C-section. With your last disability check you will get a a form for paid family leave that you fill out and send back in and then you will get 6 weeks of Paid Family Leave. It all comes from EDD and comes to about 55% of what your pay was, although tax is not taken out so it's a pretty good size check.
