i heard they make me fat.i don't wanna get fat.that's why im scared of taking them.but my doctor told me if i wanna have a regular period i have to take them.but i didn't listen to him.

You will gain a few pounds but you won't get fat.

As far as weight is concerned...when you take the pill, you have just as much of a chance to lose weight as to gain it. If you do have a weight change, (which is rare anyway), it is 50/50 as to if you will gain or lose weight. You will have very regular periods. The pill is great. Just take it at the same time everyday & it will work. Side effects are rare. Oh & if you do gain weight, a lot of times it is temporary while your body gets used to the hormones, then you go back to your original weight.

It's a possible side effect, but it doesn't happen to everybody. And it's not a huge weight gain.

I take a "low dose" pill (Alesse) and usually I gain w8 too, but not on this pill.
