I knew somebody who had the ability to stay home with her children. She hired a live-out nanny who was there with her kids from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm while she spent most of that time at the country club. Then she had another babysitter who was at her house at least 3 nights per week while she and her husband went out. On weekends the babysitter was there again - often to watch the kids at the pool at the country club (actually not too bad of a deal). Now, this person insisted on calling herself a stay at home mother. Now, since I am one and I know the work that we do, I look back on this and wonder...what did she do?
This is not a slam against working mothers or a jealousy issue. I just wonder if someone who does not work but hires someone to raise her children should call herself a SAHM which gives others the illusion that SAHMs have so much time on their hands.

If someone finds out their baby has a fatal birth defect and will either die sometime during the pregnancy or at the time of birth, do you think it's wrong or the person to have an abortion or be induced prematurely into labor, or should they wait until their baby dies naturally. Remember, there's no chance for life outside of the womb AT ALL.

I'm kinda of scared to go into this field because i don't want to see dead babies. But i heard that it is pretty rare though. I can tell if people are pregnant without other people being able to tell. People at my job think it's great I do to. But is it that nasty?

Do you think it was a wise idea for the FDA to allow the 72-Hour pill to be purchased without a doctors consent and or evaluation. It is now available over the counter!

a woman was asking about how after over a year without breastfeeding, she still had milk in her breasts?

As a idiot guy, I kinda thought they always had milk in them, just more when they were breastfeeding. If the milk is only in there during breastfeeding, whats in there the rest of the time? I mean, if some of them get so big, I would just assume milk, because thats what breasts are for, right?

sorry if this question is a bit intrusive, im just curious.

I am 28w1d and I have been losing (what I think is) my mucous plug. It's like clumps of white/clear discharge. It is extremely thick (sometimes stringy) and I have had this 4 times and the size of it is pretty big (bigger than a quarter). I have also been having these pintching cramps in my vagina. It feels like someone is sticking their hand up there and pintching my cervix. My back aches (like to the point of tears). I can't get comfortable no matter what I am doing) and the last thing is, It feels like she keeps kicking me in my cervix...but I feel her feet up by my ribs... She is head down! What's going on??

Hi new to this but here goes. Through me being wreckless i have managed to get a colleague of mine pregnant, trouble is she is married but according to her going through a messy separation. Our affair has been going on for some time now and I have developed feelings for this girl but its not the ideal situation obviously for her to be pregnant. She is unsure on what to do about the pregnancy. Your advice for me would be greatly appreciated.

is this a really bad idea?
i know you cant completely put your life on hold while you're trying and have had a drink or three on a couple of occasions so far but what about going on a night out drinking? could this be risky if you're in the early stages of pregnancy but not aware of it?

I follow the questions here ragarding spanking of children and also asked before for what reasons people do that. It looks these people think their kids will do many terrible things if they don't spank them. I think mostly these people were themselves raised by this method and don't know what else to do. It also looks they have a low opinion on the intelligence of their kids and think force is what they understand best.
I was never physically punished as a child, I was also not arrested in my room and I didn't do any terrible things, and I also know that this is the case with many other kids. I feel that physical punishment of children must be something very wrong. But I don't have kids myself and so the only examples I can give of how to do it different are my own childhood experiences and what I heard from others. So I would like parents who don't spank to contribute to this discussion and to show alternatives.
