Does dogs and cattles mensurate and have monthly periods?

does dogs have periods and mensurate. If no how do their reproductive cycle works? which are the animals which have monthly mensuration?

they do but it's every 6 months or so...for dogs atleast, i don't know about cattle...lol. it's usually referred to as a dog coming into "heat" i think. this is a rather odd question by the way...but hey i'm not judging you for it. hope you get your answer

Dogs have heat cycles. They differ from menstruation cycles in women. When a dog is "in heat", she is at her fertile time and can get pregnant. This happens approximately twice a year. When a woman is menstruating, this means that her ovary released an egg, but it was not fertilized so the lining that the body has prepared to nourish a fertilized egg is not needed and is sloughed off. I don't know much about cattle except that cows who give us the milk we drink need to have a calf before they can become milk cows. When I was very young, my great-uncle had a dairy farm. He wasn't a big farmer, but made enough to raise a family. When the cows gave birth, the calves stayed with their mothers for a little while and then they were taken away and bottle-fed while they learned to eat hay and grass. About every 2 years, his cows had a calf. I would have to imagine that when the cows are producing less milk they need to have a calf in order to replenish their milk producing abilities. Dogs and cattle do not menstruate monthly like women. I don't think any other animal except for humans have monthly cycles.

No. Most animals go through a "heat" -- a short period of reproductive fertility, and then the reproductive system "shuts down" until the next one.

IIRC, this process basically evolved to enhance the survivability of the young in the wild. A deer giving birth during the dead of winter would not be very successful at passing along her genetic heritage, would she?

Humans, on the other hand, have managed to make shelters for themselves, and learned how to grow their own food, thus negating that threat to the newborn.

My dog used to have 2 a year and they would LAST about 28 days.

I think some other mammals only have 1 a year. I think it has to do with their gestational length (i.e. how long they are pregnant) and I think it's a reason why all the babies of certain animals (like deer etc. and lots of the babies at the zoo) are born in the spring.

Horses are monthly not sure of cattle, dogs are six months. Many smal animals are quite frequent.

for one they are called cattle not cattles!!!! And dogs go into heat every 3 or 4 months....they do not call it periods or menstral in animals they call it going into heat...............
