Abortion is a personal choice, there can be no right or wrong as all situations differ. Personally I would never have an abortion as I feel it would be wrong for me but I would never discriminate against someone who felt that it was right for them. We all have to live with the consequences of our actions whatever they may be. Having said that though, I think that women who have repeated abortions as a form of birth control should spend a little time with people who either can't have children or who have lost a baby, maybe they would find a better form of contraceptive as a result.

When i found out i was pregnant i felt devesated i really had no idea what i would do. I thought oh god i'm 19 years old,, i've just started a new job, i have no stable home, could i afford a child? what would my partner think?? Then i put things into another prospective i'm 19 young and healthy, I have a job and a partner who loves me, and now im going to have a baby. I couldn't have an abortion it would have been selfish for me to have one as i had everything i needed and i've coped fine and now i can't wait the 8 long weeeks i have left to meet my baby boy. However my friend has recently had an abortion only her circumstances are different shes 37 years old and hasn't been with the father long at all and she already has children. It depends on wether you think it's the right thing and only your thoughts matter right now, try writing down a list of why you think you couldn't have a child and see if you can look at them in a different prospective like i did.
You also need to think about wether you would be able to cope or not afterwards as it won't be easy which i think you know.

Make sure the descision you make is yours all the best xx

At the end of the day only the person who is pregnant can make that decision

people have got to remember that we cant impose our views and beliefs on this matter

Because we don't know the extent of that persons life and how they became pregnant and if there is something seriously wrong with their child ie rape sever disability were the child will have no quality of life

But all i can say is i do not believe on abortion just because your child may have downs syndrome or it was a mistake these are pure selfish reasons but they are my opionions and i would never tell any1 who was concidering an abortion that because at the end of the day they have to live with their choice.

I think abortion is right if it's done for the right reasons. I know alot of people that use it as a form of contraception and i find that really hard to deal with. While i'm not against it, i feel that they should have a rule where no abortions be performed after 12 weeks unless there is a medical reason.

If abortion were wrong on the basis of it being a baby from the get-go then i must advise all women who have an atypical heavy period to gather all that they lose and give it a good christian burial because the chances are high you're having what the medical profession calls a spontaneous abortion. Thats right, ladies, 70% of pregnancies end in miscarraige before you even know you're pregnant, so all you nay-sayers to women's choice better get to mourning. And i certainly hope there are no men answering this question.

I was pro-choice throughout my youth and high school experience. When I was in college, I went to a debate between a NOW spokeswoman and a woman from an organization of which I had not heard before. At the beginning of the debate, I was still pro-choice. As I listened, I came to realize that the NOW spokeswoman's reasons for abortion were selfish in their nature and the other woman seemed to addressing the needs of the mother in addition to the father and the baby. I can't remember what specific question I asked the NOW spokeswoman, but she apparantly interpreted it as a anti-abortion slanted question and did not answer it at all. Then, she cut me off when I tried to ask again. I may have been pro-choice when I stood up to ask that question in a last attempt to justify my beliefs in the morality of abortion, but I sat down a changed woman. Over time, the more I learned about abortion as I researched, the more convinced I became.
Although I get where the crowd who says "I wouldn't have one myself, but I don't want to push my will on someone else" is coming from--after all, that is what I believed for 20 years--if the baby inside is life, the government's first duty to its citizens is to preserve life. After all, nobody can have any other rights without the right to life first--what good is a right to free speech if you're dead?
The baby inside is a baby--a unique human life with his or her own DNA. My boss met a couple that knew they were pregnant with twins as early as two days after conception because the doctors saw "flashing sparks" on the sonogram. I'm including a link to pictures of developing babies at different stages during pregnancy. I really believe that an informed woman is perfectly capable of making the best choice for herself--anyone who sees these faces and arms and legs and little fingers knows this is a human life. Their hearts start beating after 21 days!
Thanks for reading and God Bless!

Yes i agree with abortion, Who wants to grow up knowing you were unwanted, or the result of a rape!

Its ever womens choice, i would have one i have 2 children already and could not finacially support another one, i take precurtions but accidents do happen!

Or what if there was a medical problem!

I do not agree with abortion its not the babies fault its there .... However , if there is a problem during pregnancy that may compromise the mothers life that is the only reason it would have to be considered by me , but thankfully i have had my family so will never be in that position ..
good luck

put yourself in the shoes of the unborn baby. They do not have a choice. That should be sufficient an answer to make you think about your actions. In other words, you cannot go ahead with it without asking them and as euthenasia is currently illiegal, so should abortions be. I thank you and now stand down from my soapbox!

There is no right or wrong to this question, each woman must decide for herself.
You might notice I made no mention of the man involved, in my opinion he has no rights in the case.
The woman is the only one that goes through the trauma and should be/is the only one that can make the decision.
