I have started potty training my son. He is 12 months (1year), We started around 9 months old. We have not been constiant at all and he is perfectly happy to potty in the toilet or in his diaper. He gets happy and excited (clapping and smiling) when he pees in the potty as we prase him for it and he likes the attention. How do I make the switch to no more diapers? I know consistancy is the key, and we try putting him in undies and asking him when he has to go and using the same words over and over for it. I also always put him on the potty chair when i have to go (I'm 17 weeks preggo so I go all the time) and he usually pees. If he dosnt have to go he will get off the chair. Also how do I get him to POOP in the potty? We have major problems with pooping.

I know we can do this my niece and nephew were pottytrained before a year old and so was I.

i am 24 yrs old girl. i had sex on 28th august. the condom broke, so me scared i might be pregnant. but i got my periods on 18th september. my date of periods is 12 th september. i took pregnancy test on 12 th august. it was negative. i heard that a delayed periods and unprotected sex can make me pregnant. i even heard that even when we are pregnant, we might have periods. am i pregnant? what to do?

Okay, my stomach feels like it goes hard but i can push on my stomach, im only 16 weeks.Also it feel like a foot. on the bottom of my stomach when it goes hard.(am i too early to actually feel the foot pressing on my belly) im not realy sure ,what it feels like when the baby moves. so what do you think?

Any reason to be worried?
I was recently legaly seperated but now we got back together and its working out good , during that time I was seperated I had sex with a old freind just once and I have been worried she could be pregnant. She had her tubes tied 17 years ago and she is 41 and she thinks i am nuts, She has had 2 normal periods and even took a home pregnancy test just to shut me up which turned out negative but I am a worry wart.

What do you guys think am I just be stupid and need to stop worrying about her being pregnant?

Also please don't flame me I am just a nervious person who always fears the worst with everything

i have checked yesterday a home pregnancy test with the confirm clearly tester,it came out positive, it was pretty clear blue, but today i went to the walk in clinic to confirmation, doctor told me that test came out negative... and he told me to do a blood test well...i havn't get my period yet it's alreay 49 days over. last time period started 1Aug,,,,,, i don't know what to do?

:::update::::....so today was day 7 of my missed period. It has been a week since I was supposed to start. My best friend bought me a pregnancy test this morning, and I took it this afternoon. (the instructions that came with it stated that you could test anytime of day if it has been days after your missed period and if you haven't drank a large amout of fluids, which I hadn't) I used the "pee in cup" and then dip method(the insert said you could do that way, or the pee on strip way...i chose the cup).....waited two minutes...and the test was negative. i hope that there were no defects in the test and that i will now be relieved from the stress, and hopefully start. Do you guys think the tests are accurate? And when do you think I will get my period finally? How long should I wait before I test again if I dont get it soon?

I will be in night school on halloween, but this is the first year he will be going out in a costume. He will only be 17 months, but seeing as this is his first, and i want to be there, do you think it's worth it? My exboyfriend lives in North Carolina and wants to take my daughter to North Carolina or Florida. He has a habit of calling at the last minute and demanding that I let him do so. I have not let him do so because I don't feel comfortable with this. I have tried to explain this. I have never told him that he couldn't see our daughter- even after he has pulled a "no show" on serveral occasion. I have even allowed him to take her overnight to his father's house in Charleston, SC. I am not trying to make things difficult for him. I am a little fearful that he may pull a disappearing act especially since we don't have any type of visitation agreement.

This happened to my fiances brother, the girl told me and a friend of mine she knew she wasn't on the pill and still had sex with him with no condom but didn't tell him. The child is 1 year old next month and I still can't get that out of my head. They are not living together, she thinks they are together but he dates around. They're both in their early 20's and he gives her $1300 a month, she works and HIS mom watches the baby for free while they work. My morals tell me I need to tell someone...but does it matter now? She's already 1 year, will I only make things worse? He is a DJ and to the babys mama he is like a god. Should I but out...or step in because he's complaining he gives her too much $$ and would rather give her cash then go through child support. By the way, they are both horrible parents and pawn the baby off on who-ever will take her on the weekends so they can go out and party and do drugs.

I am 20 years old and just had a c-section 5 weeks ago tommorow. I had my postpartum appt. last monday and the doctor said that i started my cycle but he didn't know where i was at. My bleeding stopped 2 weeks and 3 days after the c-section but saturday i started bleeding again but it was extremely heavy with a huge blood clot. I was going to go to the hospital but got ahold of my doctor first and he said it was my period and that it is normal to bleed this bad because it was my first period in 9 months. I just want to know if this has happened to anyone else.

Why do people always question another persons parenting when they ask a question? I frequently ask questions and have been told that I don't know what I'm doing--merely because I ask for other opinions. I have been told I need to gain confidence--because I ask questions. If I ask why others do things differently--I'm told I need more confidence. Just because someone asks questions or wonders why others disagree with them it doesn't mean they are unconfident--I think it makes them mature to understand that others have different opinions and it's mature that instead of just writing others off they want a better understanding. So back to the question--why do people always question some one's parenting or confidence because they can ask a question?

Do you even answer question in the "adolescent" section anymore? I mean with all these pre-teen kids on here asking questions I don't even go in that section anymore even if there's questions from adults asking questions about their adolescent child. Do you do the same?
