Does anyone know how much it would cost, roughly, my husband and I to adopt a child within the United states? We aren't looking for a baby, necessarly, we would be just as happy with any age of child.. But would prefer a child under 5. Thanks.

That if a baby does things quickly, faster than what would be consdered normal, that means it's getting out of the way for another baby?
Like crawling, walking, potty training........ at what would be considered to be at an age younger than normal.

I did a pregnancy test this morning because i had sore nipples and ive been tired all week and i havent had a full period since the middle of july. It says on the pack that you shouldnt have sex for 7 days before taking the test but i did last night. The result was negative and i was just wondering if the result could be wrong?

I just had my second child 4 days ago and I was really set on breastfeeding since I had to give it up with my first child. Unfortunately there were complications during my delivery and we both got an infection. When he was born they took him straight to the nicu without me seeing him. I had another c-section so I couldn't go see him straight away and they didn't want him to be fed yet. They told me that after a certain amount of time though when I was able to get into a wheelchair that they would allow me to feed him. Instead they brought me a pump and wanted me to do that. I made it perfectly clear to them that I didn't want him to have a bottle or a binky because I knew it would be harder to switch him. Instead of listening to me, by the time they let me see him they had already given him a binky and several feedings of formula. Needless to say he refused the breast and is still refusing. I asked several times for a breastfeeding consultant to help me switch him and they never sent..

My sister and her husband have been unable to conceive and want to have a family more than anything. They would love to adopt a child and are open to infants or older children (even a brother/sister combo) up to 7-8 years old. They are hesitant to foster a child because the heartbreak would be too much if the crack addict mother came back and took the child after they had bonded. They want a clean adoption and don't have the big bucks it takes to go to China or to adopt through a private agency like rich folks do. How can they adopt if they don't have all sorts of money? Please help me find some web sites and other resources for them. Thank you! (They live in Pennsylvania if that makes a difference in your answers.)

I hate that some people on here think it is not a real life inside you. It really bothers me that people think it is okay to kill a baby!!!

Check this out then decide what you think:

I work with a bunch of women. Some of them are in their late 30's and 40's pregnant with their FIRST child.

That is fine, personally I don't care, but they get mad if someone calls them an "older mom."

I don't get why they would be mad, they ARE older moms!

If you are 40 and pregnant with your first child, then you are not old age wise, but you are old as far as the age range to have your first child.

They are not young moms, they are not average aged moms, they are mothers who were older than most moms when they got pregnant.

If you say an older mom would be someone in their 50's or 60's then that doesn't make sense, because it is rare a woman could be fertile enough to carry a child at that age.

Therefore, a mother who is in her late 30's and 40's is an "older" mom.

It justs like a pregnant 18 year old being called a "young" mother.

What do you think?

(I had to get it off my chest, lol)

what are the most common signs of pregnancy before your missed period? i started to feel pain like i was getting my period and it lasted for 3 days. The weird thing was i had just gotten my period two weeks before. When i work out i usually have full energy the next morning and lately i have been tired and don't want to even get out of bed.

I'm regalur every month about 25 days. Do you count from the last day you get your period or the actually day you get it? i'm wondering cuz if is the last day then i still have two more days before i'm late. And if is the day i get it.....then i'm two days late. Stupid question but i'm wondering cuz i don't want to get a pregnancy test just yet cuz i feel hurt when it comes out negative. Is it something to worry about or is there a chance i'm pregnant?
