specific, to the point! WHERE does is say SPECIFICALLY that ''ABORTION" is illegal...

If you are going to rant about "ten commandments," murder is a sin... then there has to be clearly defined text as to when a person "is."

its because the thing that is being aborted would have turned into a person, and who is to say that when that unborn baby was conceived the soul was not put into that baby? i find it interesting that ppl justify their behavior with religion, i mean, why does it have to be said in the bible, the bible is full of crap, and u want the bible to tell you that it is a sin? what "if" when you die and go to heaven there really is a gate, and there is someone standing there asking about your life and what you did or didn't do, what will be your reason for having an abortion? i mean really don't blame religion, its all up to you,

and by the way i am pro choice, but pro life for me,

Beyond religion...it is murder! The heart beats at 3 weeks, so you would be stopping a heart right? And look it up, around 97% of abortions happen AFTER 4 weeks into it. So, they are stopping a beating heart, therefor killing a person. Plus, I think it is the most selfish thing in the world. You feel you are woman enough to have sex and take the risk, but not woman enough to have a child? Plus, adoption? How many deserving couples try for years and can not concieve. So kill your child before giving someone else their dream? Makes total sense!!

I would first of all like to point out that it doesn't take just a Christian to believe that abortion is wrong. They aren't the only one's pointing that out.

To answer your question, 10 commandents, thou shall not kill. It pretty much sums it up. The moment you are conceive is the moment you are a human being. If you were pregnant and wanting the baby then you would say I am pregnant with child right? I mean you wouldn't say "well right now I'm pregnant but its not a baby yet".

As for the sinning part, EVERYONE sins. It's in our nature to do so. Even people who judge, gossip or lie are sinners. We as a society are the ones who label which sin is worse, when in fact they are all the same kind of sin.

Not only Christians believe that abortion is morally wrong. People who believe that human life begins at conception believe that abortion is the taking of a human life. That is a sin according to many religions & moral belief systems. The real argument over abortion is really an argument over when human life begins.

It was always taken for granted that an unborn child was a "person" - a human being. It didn't have to be spelled out in the Bible or anywhere else. The concept that a fetus is not human life has only come about recently in human history - a result of those who feel guilt about abortion and strive to rationalize it.

Christians believe that a child exists at the moment of conception. Therefore, if it is a child in some form, and it is aborted, it is murder. There are a few things in the bible that says murder is a sin or does it have to say "Abortion is a sin" for you to get it. It's really not that hard to figure out.

EVERYONE is a sinner...

WE WERE BORN INTO THIS WORLD AS SINNERS AND WE WILL DIE AS SINNERS...

THAT IS SPECIFICALLY STATED IN THE BIBLE.....

the thought of abortion appalls many of us ..because YOU are KNOWINGLY COMMITTING MURDER..u know that you have a LIFE inside you and you are PLANNING...(which is premeditated) to KILL the LIFE inside you.....so yes killing is a sin, and yes abortion is a sin...but like i said..WE ALL ARE SINNERS...ONE SIN IS NO BETTER THAN THE OTHER...

nothing has to be in the bible or any religion to be a 'sin'

sins of the heart are committed everyday

life is precious no matter what side of the argument one is on
people on one side want to pick nits about when "life begins" people on the other side want to "condemn the sinners to hell"

i can say with pride that i'm catholic and it's not for me to judge someones soul and the state there-of; i can judge a particular action as good or evil mind you as can anyone, i just cannot be judge of the individuals soul; the immortalization of the words in the bible speak to this if one is open enough to comprehend.

abortion is a transgression of evil against life
so is one soldier killing another ...
so is a homeowner killing an armed robber in self-defense

some things we tolerate as a society, some we don't
that's the difficult part of being flesh and soul - imperfection results in imperfect situations and outcomes
we 'act' as judges ...sometimes we overstep our bounds but yet we must do what we must do to maintain a 'healthy' society
some sins are easy to spot and well it makes sense as a society to try to prevent or eliminate them ...(pedophiles, mass murderers, rapists, thieves, etc tend not to be dealt with in almost every society with punitive measures once these individuals are identified and deemed 'guilt') problem with present society is that not enough is done on the 'prevention' aspect
seems that that boils down to $$, $$, and $$.

the real questions one should ask is why do we even exist at all or why is my daughter throwing a temper tantrum lol

.... starts playing that Live song about his daughter and believing in his head to quell the howls entering my ear canals disturbing my peace of mind [hmmm iron maiden]

It all really comes down to common sense really. just think about it, why would you want to kill a living creature inside of you when you have the option to give him/her up for adoption? instead of throwing the baby away, why not give that baby a life to live? where would you be if your mother decided to do an abortion on you? you wouldn't be here to ask this question!!!! You had the chance to enjoy what life had to offer, don't you think that baby should have a chance to? Its not really about sin and the ten commandments, its really about common sense. Just think about it. No really, think about it.

They call it murder. Their case is that life begins at conception as opposed to life beginning at the sign of brain activity or at some other point of fetal developement.

As I understand, many Christians believe that "God" has a predetermined plan which is inevitably how all things will come about. (good or bad) If this is the case hasn't "God" already "planned" every abortion that occurs thereby making "sinners" of every person who is merely following "his" will??

The Bible does not SPECIFICALLY say "child mollestation" "bank robbery" "tax evasion" "money laundering" is wrong...does it?
Abortion is a violent act that destroys a baby.
MANY places in the Bible we are told that abortion is a SIN!
MURDER for example....one of the 7 unforgivables....abortion IS murder.
